From the tap poured an amber color with a small amount of head. Hippy flavor with a quick finish. stantheman (1101) - British Columbia, CANADA - APR 10, 2016
On tap at St Augustine’s in Vancouver. A world class imperial red ale, if somewhat overpriced at $7.95 a 14 oz glass. The high hop bitterness is nicely offset with big malt flavors. More later perhaps. 4 fiulijn (21511) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 7, 2016

Hazy red amber color, compact head. Moderate aroma of fruity hops, oranges and other similar fruits, lightly animal too. Bold structure, the sweetness is moderate, not excessive, the malt profile seem to reveal too much Crystal; the bitterness is very strong and the hops come with a quite harsh wood resin, just lightly fruity, and heavily roasted nuts; I find that these beers are almost buttery sometimes.
Aggressive, good, but a bit too much over the top.
Botted. Pours hazy, amber with a small, lacing off-white head. Aroma of citrus fruits, nutty notes and carame. Sweet flavor that ends up more dry and bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. A very nice Ale indeed. 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Bricks (1160) - Delaware, USA - MAR 19, 2016
Nice copper red color, head is smallish. Aroma fairly neutral, roasted malt. Big hops on the taste, not that much malt. It’s solid.

Don’t get the high score on this one. It’s out of balance with too much malty alcohol flavor. Overall, an boozy bomber. Troupis (279) - - FEB 13, 2016
Complex = yes. Look = awesome. Taste = debatable. Not as hoppy as I had hoped.
On tap at Ballast Point in San Diego.

Tongue torturing imperial red ale. Has a clean dark red look, piney, citrus hop aroma and some malty sweetness. Compared to its high alcohol, very drinkable and hardly feel any booziness. The bitter is very strong, but it’s not harsh, rather enjoyable. Darwenus (1163) - Virginia, USA - JAN 19, 2016
Pours an amber brown, like pekoe iced tea. Sudsy head hangs around for a while. The aroma is very mild, but there are notes of brown sugar on the nose. The flavor is much stronger than the aroma gives away. There’s molasses and rich, woody, whiskey-like malt. Strong hops on the back of the tongue, but the finish is really clean. This is an aggressive, tasty beer. Gerbeer (4149) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 17, 2016
On tap. Pours a dark reddish copper color with moderate head. Aromas of red fruit gummies and sweet malts. Flavors of red berry jelly, bitter pine, toffee and toasted bread crusts. Long bitter finish.
