Taster at the brewery. Amber color with nice tan head. Aroma is caramel and intense peaches cat piss hops (buckets of Simcoe?) 7/4/15. On tap, Craft on Draft. Red pour with a nice khaki head, great lacing. Good aroma, citrus, pine, a nice balance of caramel and pale maltiness. Bottle: moderate haze, red brown, medium head and nice lace. Honey malt, hops, dense but not lifted. Dry, not sour but very bitter. Loads of flavor. Lacks fruit but very intense hops and malt. Very high CO2 that provides a freshness you would not expect at this alcohol level.

Hazed murky brown lacing grey head. Smells of prunes and booze and brown sugar. Bitter little fucker. Raisin, booze, cinnamon, and grapefruit. Not what I expected from an impy red. Wonder if I got the barley wine?
