Keg @ Bishops Arms, Hornsgatan. Hazy pale golden, white frothy head, rich lacing all around the glass. Resinous aroma, citrus, earthy, caramel and hints of pine. Bone dry mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Citrus zesty bitter taste, sweet caramel and resin. Dry and bitter finish, solid brew!

I feel similarly about this beer to how I feel about regular sculpin - it’s a tasty IPA, really, but the 14 dollar a six pack price tag is ridiculous, as I can get IPAs just as good for much less, so I don’t see the ravenous fan base for this - this lack of filtering here actually makes it a bit more muted than the original, but still a very good IPA.

Draft. A- Pine, tropical fruits, subtle ammonia. A- Gold color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Pine, bitter, tropical fruits, slightly dank. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly bitter finish. O- I do believe I like this better than the regular sculpin. Less in your face while maintaining all the great flavors of the original.

12 oz. bottle. Hazy orange. Smells of orange, grapefruit, substantial garlic, and a bready and doughy malt aroma. Tastes of pine resin, garlic, and some grapefruit back end. Light sweetness from a bready malt presence. A long resiny hop finish. Medium body. It’s Sculpin, so it’s delicious, but I don’t know that it’s an improvement.

Bottle. Very drinkable and pleasing. Meets all the right needs on a balanced IPA. Nice!

Bottle. Pours a golden color with a mountain of fluffy off-white head... got sufficiently cloudy after the second and final pour. Sweet citrus and grapefruit aroma, tropical fruit. Smells like sticky, fruity hops. Lightly sweet followed by a bitter punch. Grapefruit and citrus, fruity with a little bready malt and even some pine. Crisp lingering bitters. Really hits the spot.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, slightly hazy orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of orange, grapefruit, some peppery, earthy hop notes into a bit of yeast, slight grain. Taste was a mix of grain, bread, biscuit, some orange, grapefruit, pine, pepper into a bit of yeast, finishing earthy slightly fruity. Disappointing.

Half growler. Translucent caramel colored brew with a layer of spongy foam. Big aroma of orange, pineapple, grapefruit, resin, caramel and a bit of garlic. Tastes of garlic, citrus fruit mix, caramel and a bit of white pepper in the finish. Near-medium bodied with medium-high fizz and a dry, fruity hop slant.

Draft. Hazy gold with a white head. Aroma of pine resin, grapefruit. The flavor has a lot of grapefruit and resiny bitterness. Seems fruitier than the regular.

Hazy golden and a white head. Sweet grapefruit and other citrus notes. Maybe a bit fruitier than the original but I could have been trying to find a difference. Nice.
