COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Coconut Victory at Sea takes our popular Imperial Porter to another place. We added sweet roasted coconut to our robust porter brewed with Caffe Calabria coffee and vanilla, the perfect complement to this beer’s subtle roasty intensity. A favorite at our annual Victory at Sea Day, but it’s worth enjoying anytime you need to be transported.

Draft at HOTB. Aroma is big coconut flavors and some cocoa. Slight chalk, dry finish. Some roasted malt and chalk, coffee. Heavy body. It's good. Aroma is better than taste I thought. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

bottle, rated early 2017 - Black pour, tan head, aroma of roast malt and cocoa. Flavor is roast malt, coffee, cocoa, and coconut. Can't completely miss the alcohol at 10%, but it's not all that prominent. Full bodied. Very good.

Draft: Strong coconut nose, charred oak and baker's chocolate. Black, thin tan head. Coconut, dark chocolate. Charred oak finish. Medium body, easy carbonation. Nicely done.

Pours jet black with big foamy tan head that laces the glass as it recedes. Scent is coffee and toasted chocolate with heavy coconut overtones. Taste is smooth chocolatey coconut. Finish is a bitter cocoa. Heavy body. Just a bit boozy. Very good with the coconut, but I’d give an edge to the original.

A big roasty stout. Aromas of coconut and vanilla, bitter chocolate, sun tan lotion, espresso. Flavours are burnt malts, very dark bitter coffee, cocoa powder, coconut. This could use some balancing sweetness, but still pretty good

Strong coconut aroma, coffee and vanilla hints are coming in as it warms up. The coffee is a bit more pronounced in the taste as opposed to the aroma, roasted almost burnt grounds with coconut. Mid to heavy body, slightly prickly carbonation bite.

Pours black with an off white head. Strong toasted coconut and chocolate and caramel aroma taste.

At tasting. Bottle. Aroma of coconut, chocolate, creamy caramel, vanilla and mocha. Taste has lots of lucious coconut, milk chocolate, earthy vanilla, creamy caramel fudge, malt and some mocha. Delicious liquid bounty.

Black with a small tan head. Coffee liqueur aroma with a bit of nuttiness. I like the roasty notes, but the coconut comes across with a medicinal character. Coffee, vanilla and coconut together is perhaps a bit too ambitious - rather than being a delightful harmony there is a murky quality to it. Not a fan.

Bottle @ THT. Pours very dark reddish, brown blackish beer with a medium sized, tanned head on top. Aroma has lots of coco, also lots chocolate and the base beer is certainly present in this one. Sweet caramel is also present in the nose. Great, fragrant aroma. Flavor is about the same, like eating liquified Bounty bars, lots of coco and chocolate with a nice roasty touch in the backend. Mild in carbonation, good stuff for sure!
