12 oz bottle. Pour is dark but not quite opaque. Head is thin, brownish an persistent. On the nose you will get, chocolate, fudge, vanilla, smoke, alcohol and touch of sweetness. The elevated alcohol is evident from the first sip but is not overpowering. A deep rich fudge, chocolate taste on the palate, The finish is sweet with a little burn from the elevated ABV.

UPDATED: APR 22, 2018 12 oz bottle shared by ebone1988. The pour is a nice brown/black with a thick a thicker light khaki head and a good bit of lace as it falls to a thick collar and film. The aroma is solid. Lots of Barrel and spicy rye up front with a nice vanilla and a heavy chocolate on the back end. There is a light nuttiness and a hint of alcohol as it opens up. The flavor is much of the same. The chocolate is huge up front with a nice bourbon and rye balance and a drier oak. The vanilla fades a bit and the nuttiness is non-existent. The mouth feel is a slightly heavy medium body with a soft carbonation and a lingering chocolate and boozy spice on the finish. This one is pretty solid. I’m digging it. 8 4 8 4 16

Aromas are several - vanilla is quite prominent, but there is also bourbon, coffee, chocolate and licorice. Color is black with a small to medium tan head. Not much lacing. Taste is fairly sweet with some bitterness at the end of the finish. Full bodied; strong alcohol warmth; oil to creamy texture; average carbonation; long finish, sweet bourbon, vanilla, sweet cold brew style coffee, ending in a pleasant bitterness. Overall a complex barrel aged porter with a lot going on, though the vanilla is a bit too strong.
