COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Peppermint Victory at Sea is a festive take on our popular Imperial Porter. We took our trademark robust porter brewed with Caffe Calabria coffee and vanilla and added a dose of refreshing peppermint. The trio of flavors play perfectly on your palate – the brew’s sweet roastiness balances nicely with a cool, minty finish.

Very little peppermint in the aroma.. mostly malt and coffee. Appearance is very nice.. very dark, some fizz, solid head when you agitate it. Taste is a touch peculiar... peppermint is there, but I find it annoying and takes away from the beer. Good but not great brew.

A 22 fl. oz. bomber with a Julian bottled on date of 16292, meaning it was bottled on 18th October 2016. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass. It was a dark brown colour with a big two finger tanned head that had pretty good retention while leaving some sparse lacing. Aromas of peppermint, coffee, chocolate with hints of vanilla. Tastes of peppermint coolness, roasted malts, chocolate, caramel and vanilla sweetness with some light bitterness from the coffee. Creamy, medium to full bodied with low carbonation. Overall the aroma of peppermint and chocolate matched well together, however in the taste, the peppermint and coffee flavours seemed to be clashing with each other a bit and didn’t mesh together as well as I would have liked.

Tallahassee, Fl - Quick N Save - 22 oz bomber, Pitch black pour, tight bone colored head that leaves a bit of lacing. Pleasant aroma of peppermint and faint traces of chocolate and coffee. Flavor is pleasing, peppermint is intertwined interestingly with the coffee and chocolate. Some licorice accents dance around in the back end, a touch of topsoil rounds it out nicely. Mouthfeel has a pleasant chalkiness to it.

Piana o średnich i drobnych oczkach powoli opada zdobiąc szkło.

650ml bottle. In the cellar for almost a year. Pours black with a mocha coloured head. Smells incredible. Dark chocolate, mint (After Eights!) underlying burnt sugar, and dark roast coffee. Wow. Taste wise, the mint is in the forefront, dark roast coffee, roasty malt notes, decent booziness, and light sponge toffee that leads into heavier darker malts, dark roast coffee, metallic notes, coffee bitterness, and that hint of After Eight with light menthol. I have yet to sample a beer that involves mint before, but it works really well.

Bottle from the dregs run. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of coffee, dark chocolate and mint. Taste is like liquid after eights. Light coffee and vanilla vibes. Rich cocoa finish.

Bottle @Xmas Tasting 30.07.2017. Pours black, slight tan head. Nose is chocolate but then overpowering peppermint, no surprise. Taste is as you would imagine peppermint, slight peanut and coffee but then a huge kick of peppermint.
