Bottle. This my favorite beer by ballast point. It has great vanilla undertones and good roasted malt flavor.

On tap at Ginger Man NYC. Nearly black with mocha head. Aroma - coffee, coffee, coffee, roasted malt. Taste is roasted malts, coffee and vanilla extract. Really heavy on the coffee. Velvety mouthfeel, soft carbo. Very good coffee porter. TheJvd (1321) - NETHERLANDS - JAN 27, 2014
Sample from bottle at Nieuwjaarsborrel 2014, thanks for sharing Vaiz! Pours dark brown to black with a small tanned head. Aroma has milk chocolate, roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and molasses. Taste has quite some chocolate, malts, quite sweet, molasses, coffee and a soft bitterness. Over medium body, medium carbo. Nice stuff. Busick (398) - Lake Wylie, South Carolina, USA - JAN 26, 2014
Very thick and left a alcohol punch in the aftertaste. Not a favorite from Ballast Point, but will continue to drink from this brewery.

Enjoyed on tap at Reggie’s in Chicago, IL while watching some acoustic acts, which was somewhat decent. Rated while watching a Karl Pilkington show about marriage which is downright hilarious. I didn’t take tasting notes while drinking this, but remember this being exceptionally great. Appearance is a dark pitch black with a rich off white head. Aroma is potent in vanilla, chocolate, and hazelnut. Taste is also rich in hazelnut, with coffee notes and a nice dry finish with notes of roasted malt. This really was a fantastic brew that I hope to have again in the not too distant future. rajendra82 (1103) - Alpharetta, Georgia, USA - JAN 25, 2014
Beautiful deep brown pour, with a tall, three finger thick, brown head. The smell of coffee and vanilla hit he nose from an arms length, and bringing the glass closer revealed chocolate and caramel. The taste was full of dark coffee followed by some rich vanilla and sweet chocolate, and a surprising high amount of hops. The finish was very grainy and hops and coffee lingered long. The mouthfeel was silky, and satisfyingly thick. This is a fantastic beer. MrHangover (4693) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - JAN 24, 2014
Bottle @ Nieuwjaarsborrel 2014, courtesy of Vaiz. Pours a pitch black beer with a small beige head on top. Aroma is boozy, roasted malts, caramel and vanilla. Flavor is very sweet, malty, loads of red fruits and caramel. Very cloying, sticky mouthfeel. Nice sipper, awesome beer to enjoy. Long, medium sweet finish going on. jmgreenuk (10006) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - JAN 24, 2014
Bottle at Mr Hangover’s 2014 Nieuwjaarsborrel, Den Haag, courtesy of Vaiz. Poured a clear dark brown with little life. The aroma is rich roasted malt alcohol liqourice vanilla. The flavour is strong bitter with a strong boozy alcoholic fruit vanilla palate. Full bodied with flat carbonation. A little too bitter for me but superb all the same. kermis (14553) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JAN 24, 2014
