COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Two of the world’s oldest beverages join forces to conquer your palate. Victory at Sea embodies the art of masterful brewing by infusing a velvety Imperial Porter with pure vanilla flavor and specially-selected, hand roasted coffee. The addition of cold brewed coffee to the beer lends a subtle roasted flavor to this robust imperial porter, blending perfectly with rich vanilla and caramel undertones. By uniting two San Diego brewing traditions, Caffe Calabria freshly brewed coffee and Ballast Point beer, we have successfully created an artisanal masterpiece.

UPDATED: APR 18, 2018 On tap at Ballast Point brewery in Long Beach. After I let this pitch black nectar warm a bit, the deep coffee and vanilla flavors balanced by rounding medium alcohol background were soothing on this slightly chilly night. Near perfect. One of the best and I'll need to buy some to stock at home.

UPDATED: APR 3, 2018 Black pour with moderate head and retention, beautiful lacing. Lots of vanilla, in the aroma and taste; this thing comes in hot. The bourbon taste overpowers the coffee. Heavy body.

Pairs well with white rice. Strong soy sauce flavor with hint of shit. If you like this beer you’re trying way too hard to be a big beer guy. Do yourself a favor and pour this down the drain and grab yourself and ice cold bud light #DillyDilly

UPDATED: MAR 25, 2018 This Porter is so exciting its like smoking a great cigar slamming a cup of coffee and sipping a glass of Bourbon. Its one of the best tasting imperial porters stouts whatever. Personally think it something remarkable A class brewing

Excelente cerveza. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Roasted coffee with chocolate burned sugar and vanilla flavor are the dominant forces. This is a strong beer. Alcohol is 12 percent. Still very well put together. Nice long bitter finish!

Have mercy (been waiting on the bus all day) I usually don’t care for “imperial” beers... why overload a beer with alcohol? Might as well make a cocktail... this however is special... deep dark stormy lush interweaving of vanilla coffee and malt flavors. Very well done and imminently sippable.

Sample at alltech. Pours deep black with tan head. Lots of chocolate coffee lactose nose. Sweet hazelnut caramel with creamy coffee finish. Delicious.

Black with thin creamy head. Aroma and flavour are intense with heavily roasted, bitter coffee and cocoa. Really dry. The background vanilla sweetness balances it out well.

Enjoyed the vanilla and coffee aroma and flavor. However, it's lacking something. Just past a tease but still doesn't seal the deal. Feels more like artificial flavoring than natural. A Brew With You, Ep. 116
