COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Two of the world’s oldest beverages join forces to conquer your palate. Victory at Sea embodies the art of masterful brewing by infusing a velvety Imperial Porter with pure vanilla flavor and specially-selected, hand roasted coffee. The addition of cold brewed coffee to the beer lends a subtle roasted flavor to this robust imperial porter, blending perfectly with rich vanilla and caramel undertones. By uniting two San Diego brewing traditions, Caffe Calabria freshly brewed coffee and Ballast Point beer, we have successfully created an artisanal masterpiece.

Pours black with tan head. Nose is heavy coffee and chocolate - no vanilla. But the taste is a vanilla bomb with some coffee notes. Incredibly smooth. Excellent porter - if anything, maybe a drop heavy on the vanilla. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Black with thin creamy head. Aroma and flavour are intense with heavily roasted, bitter coffee and cocoa. Really dry. The background vanilla sweetness balances it out well.

Enjoyed the vanilla and coffee aroma and flavor. However, it's lacking something. Just past a tease but still doesn't seal the deal. Feels more like artificial flavoring than natural. A Brew With You, Ep. 116

UPDATED: JAN 31, 2018 Inte fyllig som en porter, men en fräsch ton av mörkrostat kaffe och som pricken över iet vaniljen. Stout för en sommardag! Säkert perfekt till grillat om glacen är söt.

On tap at wexford pub, it might be unfair but I am not a fan of this style. Not clawing but close. Looks great and nice beer underneath

Backlog because I was angry at Ratebeer when I had it and didn't want to rate it. Bottle @ home. Black colour with a small light brown head. Smells sweet, vanilla, marshmellow, roasty. Tastes roasty, vanilla, marshmellow, sweet, chocolate, mocca. Super smooth beer. Love it.

Strong aroma of vanilla and chocolate. Black color, small but long brown head. Medium sweetness, high bitterness. Full body, sticky, long bitter aftertaste.

On draft. The aroma is a lot like the Stone Xocoveza but less disappointing in the overall presentation. Might be easy to confuse this with an Imperial Stout.

Dark brown nearly black with a tan head. Aroma of coffee and roasted malt. Slight sweetness on the palate with roasted flavors alongside the vanilla and coffee. Nice.
