Simply beautiful on the pour. Opaque with a pillowy head.
Aroma is coffee and roasty with hint of vanilla & chocolate. A twist cone of soft ice cream. Ice cream with no sugar. A real macchiato....espresso with a touch of foam on top. Palate is very dry!
Hoppy finish. Lovely body. I do love a porter but this one is maybe a tad too bitter for me.
w całokształcie cholernie kawowe i mocno palone piwero, bez kompromisów, ale i zbyt jednowymiarowe, jak na imperial stout to trochę brakuje mi ciała, ale i tak smakuje. Antonio369 (212) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - AUG 25, 2017
65 cl bottle, served in snifter. Poured almost completely black with three finger tan head. Aroma: roasted espresso beans, vanilla, dark chocolate, dark fruit. Taste: strong espresso, vanilla, caramel fudge, dark chocolate, salty licorice, dates, dark fruit, pepper, soy sauce, butterscotch, roasted nuts. It’s all about coffee and vanilla in this brew and I am lovin’ it. Medium body with a roasted coffee infused bittersweet finish. Delicious imperial porter!!! nasty3939 (33) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - AUG 4, 2017
A top 5 coffee beers you can hope to find. We’ll balanced qith just the right amount of carbonation provides the perfect mouth feel for this kind of beer. Alcohol is well hidden giving you a rich coffee-chocolate stout that is very drinkable. caesar (7165) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - JUL 28, 2017
Bottle from Beer Republic, 66 cl sample. Dark color, medium frothy head. Aroma of dry vanilla, coffee and roast. Bit sweet in taste, dry vanilla, coffee. Bit powdery instead of creamy and smooth. Expected more actually. Or maybe it is because Im major pissed off by what RB is doing at the moment. jykoh2002 () - - JUL 21, 2017
UPDATED: JUL 21, 2017 This one is the best Ballast Point beer to me. Always way beyond my expectation.

This one is way more impressive than I remember it being. Smells of coconut, chocolate, and coffee. Appearance is thick black with a medium thin head. It tastes of rich mocha, vanilla, and oak. Very smooth, velvety, and easy drinking for a 10% abv imperial bomb. Good for a hot ass sweltering day of blaring Neurosis records and making homemade garlic chili cheese fries.

Not much of an imperial porter drinker. Nice clean taste
Artwork on the bottle is great. Was nice to try, would not buy again Svartvit (819) - NETHERLANDS - JUL 13, 2017
Bottle shared thanks to sjorgogo. Pours black with a small tan head. Roasty coffee, with a slight sweet fruit presence, tons of vanilla, hops still present as well, chocolaty. Vanilla sweetness and roasty coffee bitterness. Over medium body, low carbonation. sjogro (4472) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - JUL 13, 2017
Shared from bottle at Maakun’s. Black with light tan head. Deep roasted chocolate malts, charcoal, coffee, burnt marshmallows, vanilla. Big sweet and deep roasted bitter. Full body and soft carbonation. Nice coffee candy stout. Maakun (6079) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - JUL 13, 2017
Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Black with quite big tan head. Lots of coffee, vanilla, sweet chocolate, grassy hops, toffee, light herbs, a hint of roasted coconut. Medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied with grainy cocoa feel and light dry finish. Very nice.
