Bomber from hayduke that we had via facebook chat. Dark brown with a lot of amber hues. A medium beige head that falls quickly. I smell earth and light cocoa. Just a hint of fruit. I taste fruit jelly. Maybe grape. Some maltiness but the jelly dominates everything. I contemplated whether this was infected and was left undecided. Thin feel and thin flavor. Not a lot to like. hayduke (5731) - Eureka, California, USA - AUG 8, 2017
This was shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Nose of roasted malt with some grassy hops. Thin body. Flavor is roasted malts and something earthy. Bit of jelly. The jelly is in the finish and is a bit disconcerting as it kind of overpowers the other flavors. Drinkable but no more than that. ffbot (461) - Oakland, California, USA - APR 3, 2017
Pour is a dark brown, thin, with no head. Smell of light caramel, malt, and bready. Taste follows, dull caramel and bready background. Meh PugUglyBrewer (842) - - NOV 23, 2016
Dark brown to black color with a short-lived white head. Nutty, vanilla and slightly caramel aroma and flavors. Boozy burn at the end; surprising for only a 7.2 % brew. daknole (11048) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - FEB 2, 2014
Brownish pour, beige head. Caramel malt, wheat bread, doughy malts, yeast, sweet and grainy.

Not unpleasant, but I couldn’t drink a lot of it. I thought it had a chocolatey taste. It pours very dark, almost black. Moderately fizzy. BeerFunGuy (874) - California, USA - SEP 21, 2012
This beer has that typical double bock aroma. It is smooth with a almost sweet taste. Another plus it has one of the coolest bottles I've ever seen.

Got a Ballistic Brewing sampler ... first one I tried was the double bock. Dissapointing, after a dark pour with average tan head, smell was weak. Flavor was almost nonexistent, watered down even. Not a quality beer. SDalkoholic (2444) - Linda Vista, California, USA - SEP 4, 2012
Bottle from Fresh and Easy: Poured a dark brown that was nearly opaque while a delicate pillow of foam head slowly dissipated. The drink is primarily caramel like toasted malts that have a semi sweetness about them that makes this different than most other bocks I have tasted. However, the aftertaste seems watered down and doesn’t have any real substance of flavor linger around like a rich beer would, so in the end this end sup coming short. dwyerpg (6498) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - AUG 17, 2012
This is okay. Some sweetness and malt but surprisingly thin. Not much body or definition. Okay at best.
