COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A lager beer produced using pale barley malt, rice and exclusive varieties of hops which give this beer variety its inimitable aroma, very light and velvety flavor and pleasant bitterness of hops. The addition of rice provides No2 Pale with a surprisingly fresh taste and smoothness, and for these reasons it is easy to drink.
The ingredients are water, pale barley malt, select rice and hops.
Produced since 2004. 11°

Bottled. Aroma not good, skunky hops and light sour malts. Pale golden color, small white head, few lace. Refreshing, light sweet malts but also this sourness in the end, lightly hopped, grainy, thin bodied.

It’s yellow-golden with a white, creamy head. The aroma has notes of malt and fruit. The slightly sweet flavor has notes of malt, fruit, slightly dry citrus, bit it is a bit thin/watery.

Test vom 27.3.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 7,8,8,7,9,8 - 7,80

Baltika #2 Lager. 16.9 fl oz / 500mL bottle into a pint glass. Aroma As soon as I pried the lid off, my room was flooded with that Corona-esque urine reek. Once you get through that, the aroma is all sweet corn and malts. Appearance: Pretty typical lager. Transparent yellow, fizzy soapy white head that goes away quickly. Taste: All sweet malt. No hops. Just sweet, corny, malty lager. Palate: Extremely thin bodied. It’s there and it’s gone. Overall: Not a particularly special lager, but not really horrible.

50cl bottle at home. Clear golden with a medium white head. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Bitter with some sweetness. Malts, hops and grass. An ok lager, nothing more.

Lodgewick (77) - Finland, Espoo, FINLAND - SEP 13, 2014
UPDATED: NOV 8, 2014 Pale yellow colour with thin, quick and bubling head. Aroma is not that good with some metal, vegetables, malt and grassy hops. Taste is a bit better with sweet malt, hint of hops and some flavours that really shouldn’t be there. Palate is thin and over carbonated. No need to try this one.
