Good looking cherry color pour. Nice solid body with quickly diminishing head. Aroma of caramel malt, with some bread. Mostly bread flavor, but too sweet and syrupy. Mouthfeel too watery. Eh, not great.

koleminer20 (3272) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - APR 23, 2017
500 mL bottle shared by ebone1988 for the stupid book. The pour is a dark ruby copper color with a thicker light tan head and a lack of lace as it falls to a small bubbly ring. The aroma is very malty and full of caramel there is a little bitterness to it. It’s interesting. The flavor is definitely sharp and malty. A light caramel and a sharpness to it really ties it together. This is a bit messy, but it’s not terrible. The mouth feel is a little light and surprisingly carbonated with a lingeringly bitter caramel aftertaste. It’s not terrible, I suppose.

Bottle shared with koleminer20. For the book. Aroma is caramel, booze, metallic, earthy, chocolate, malty, decent. Appearance is amber, light tan head, clear. Taste is caramel, sharp earthy hops, sweet, some cocoa, malty, not horrible. Mouthfeel is light to medium body, light carbonation, sharp earthy hop and caramel malt aftertaste. Overall, it’s not nearly as bad as I expected it would be.

500ml bottle. Best before 4/27/2017. Pours amber with a small beige head. Aroma of malt, bread, and nuts. Taste is malt, caramel, nuts, brown bread, earthy notes, very faint molasses notes. Finish is mildly sweet. Honestly, much better than expected.

Clear brown colour, thin beige head, disappearing quickly. Toffee and rsted malts, no hops. Sweet malty taste with chocolate notes. Light body, average carbonation, sweet finish with roasted tones. Not so bad, but its boring.

Sampled at Russian House in Austin, TX. Drank from the bottle. Definite malt lead. Light touch of sweetness afterwards. Glad I had a Russian beer. Worth the effort.
