Bottle, 50cL. 5.3%. Purchase ("La Maison Russe", @Saumur, FR). Home. A golden clear beer ; few bubbles ; small white head ; short retention. Honey at first sips, malt, cereal notes, dusty notes in the end. Light to medium sweet, light dry refreshing, bitter note. Light body, thin texture, soft carbonation, dry sweet fresh finish. Overall, ok.

This is a totally primitive beer, it's flat and sweetish but then again online reviews are not the point of this beer or any of the odd 9 or so Baltika's. It's the kind of beer you get on a hot summer day in the middle of nowhere in Russia together with some sunflower seeds and dry salted fish. Wherever you bought it (probably on the train from a hawker or in the palatka in the city park) there wasn't anything particularly better on offer anyway and for an brief moment in time the best beer in the world on this hot summer day overlooking the fishermen on the river...

Mishnok (374) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - JUN 20, 2017
Very golden colour (real?) with a frothy head. Fairly well carbonated and not a huge aroma. It's really quite sweet with a fairly generic macro taste. Okay on a hot day where, like revenge, it is best served cold ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pale bright golden body with a big frothy white head. Aroma of light pilsner malts and grain. Taste is light and crisp. Grain and malts with slight bitterness.

Malzig süsser Antrunk, sehr milder wässriger Körper und wenig Hopfen im Abgang. Eher schlechtes Lagerbier.

Bottle. Yellow and sweet. That’s all there is to say.Not very inspiring and definitely not recommended.

martjoobolut (4947) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAR 23, 2017
Bottle (shared by Marduk, thanks). Street tick. Looks golden. Aroma is sweet, cardboard, grains, malt, some honey-ish notes and corn. Flavor follows the nose. Overall: ok pale lager, really easy drinking and not offending in any way. This may be an overrate, but it was really decent street tick.

Marduk (8206) - Reval, ESTONIA - MAR 17, 2017
500ml bottle. Clear golden yellow color. Quite frothy head, stays. Sweet, corny, sugary in aroma. Did someone put honey in it? Sweet, honey, corny, sugary in taste. Damn so sweet. Soft carbonation. Nope.

YantarCoast (1474) - Moscow, RUSSIA - FEB 19, 2017
500ml bottle. Pours pale gold with a small and brief white head. Aroma is corn, malt and lemon. Taste is slightly sweet and a bit skunky. Quite similar to Sibirskaya Korona Zolotistoe, another clear-bottle offering.

wombat23 (1662) - Texas, USA - FEB 10, 2017
500ml bottle. Clear pale straw, white head. Aroma and taste of light malt, grass, grains. Hint of skunk. Light body.
