Pours pitch black, tan head. Aroma is coffee, blackberry, cola jelly, walnut. Taste starts moderately sweet, then slightly sour. A little watery, not really mouth-covering. Somewhat bitterish medium-lasting finish.

50cl Bottle @ tienda Rusa Combini, Seville, Spain. Dark brown colour with a thick beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, prune, oats. Taste is roasted malt, milk chocolate, plum, licorice, alcohol. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Much better than expected.

Bottle 0,47ltr: Very dark brown almost black colored brew with well balanced an dry bitter taste, hints of chocolate and roasted malts also very wel balanced. Bought it an Russian shop in Leiden.

Had no idea what to expect from this when I ordered it. Very dark and almost had a burnt toast quality mingled with a syrupiness that was strange. No real reason to go back to this one.

Nice creamy head, long lasting, black color. Aroma: coffee, chocolate, dark malts. Taste: roasted, quite bitter, dark fruit, medium to full body, oily. Well balanced. Though I noticed that the taste differs from bottle to bottle.

Partagée avec mon cher Appiantiqua dans des verres Maredsous,belle robe ébène surmontée d’une mousse beige peu persistante avec une faible carbonatation.Le nez nous offre des arômes de café et chocolats mêlés à un ensemble assez complexe.La bouche nous amène sur des saveurs à l’image du nez avec des notes fruitées et houblonnées.La finale nous laisse sur une légère amertume qui s’associe parfaitement à cet ensemble très harmonieux.Un porter très réussi et plaisant 17,5/20

Achetée dans une épicerie spécialisée dans les produits d’Europe de l’Est. Partagée avec mon petit Kittenbieer dans un verre Maredsous. Température de début 9 à 10°. Très belle robe opaque de couleur ébène surmontée d’une mousse beige de persistance moyenne; faible carbonatation. Nez très agréable sur des arômes de café, chocolat avec des notes de fruits et de houblons. Le gout riche et complexe combine les saveurs des malts avec des touches de torréfaction et de caramel le tout dans un parfait équilibre douceur/amertume et avec une consistance remarquable. La finale est longue avec le retour du café. Un porter haut de gamme et un modèle d’équilibre. 17,5/20
