Bottle pour into nonic pint glass. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, liqueur, dark fruits. Appearance is dark reddish brown--almost opaque with two finger-width frothy beige head with fair retention and lacing. Taste is as aroma, moderately sweet malty chocolate and dark fruits, mild bitter balance. Palate is medium to full bodied with velvety creamy texture, average carbonation and sweet malty finish. Overall, this is a sweet treat without going overboard. The appearance and palate create a smooth, creamy impression. Very nice.

Shared 16.9 oz. bottle. Almost black with a tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, dark chocolate, and perhaps a hint of artificial cherry. It smells very sweet. Roasted and burnt malt, chocolate, caramel, and dark fruit flavors. Not bad, but a bit too sweet.

Aroma: syrupy and roasty; not bad; Appearance: black with off white head that dissipates quickly; some lacing; Taste: very sweet with a slight twang reminiscent of the smoked porter; Palate: not as heavy as expected; long, sweet and slightly roasty finish; kind of cloying; Overall: not too bad but wouldn’t buy again.

One of my favorite porters of all-time. The tones of coffee and caramel are present and taste so amazing. You will want more after finishing the bottle

Excellent porter. Forget what I said about other Baltika products being so so. This and No.9 are the exceptions. Smelled of fruit and chocolate. The boozy undertones were subdued in this beer. One of my favorites to enjoy during the winter months. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very dark brown in colour. Aroma and flavour have light caramel and dark roasted malts. A bit on the sweet side but quite flavoursome.

Earthy, figs and plums for aroma. Flavors of brown sugar, dark fruits, and crunchy apples. Big and bold. Not bad really

Bottle from Bevmo. Refrigerated with a best by date of 4/16/16. It pours a deep brown color with ruby highlights and a lightly foamy tan head. The aroma is fruity with notes of cherry, raisins, plums, light malt syrup and brown sugar. The flavor is caramel heavy with burnt sugar, plum, burnt toast and raisins. Hint of ash in the finish. The body is a bit weak for the style, but the flavors are potent and complex. There’s only a light hint of herbal hops in the finish. Pretty enjoyable, especially for the price. Would purchase again.

Flaske; Farven: mørkebrun til sort. Duft og smag: ristet malt, karamel og chokolade. Kaffeagtig i eftersmagen. Knap s¨å god mundfylde som forventelig. En OK øl.
