Got the bottle. Pretty much like Danish porters (stick to pilseners guys!) and crap.

500 mL bottle shared by ebone1988 for the book. The pour is a thin and clear dark brown with some ruby and garnet around the edges. This isn’t the black Baltic Porter that I was expecting. The aroma is really sweet. It’s got a messy syrup happening. There is a light roast and then it falls apart. The flavor is interesting. Roasty syrup and an astringent clear licorice thing happening. There is a light peat to it that blows. The mouth feel is watery and light with a bright ish carbonation and a lingering sweetness. Ugh.

Bottle shared with koleminer20, #200 for the book! Bottle from Merchants. Aroma is sweet, dark fruit, slight roasted malt, candy, eh. Appearance is dark brown red, light brown head, would be clear. Taste is metallic, roasted malt, dark fruit, sweet, booze, candy, strange. Mouthfeel is medium body, light carbonation, sweet roasted malt booze aftertaste. Overall, it’s not awful, but not especially good. 5 4 5 4 13

Dark brown, almost black with a brown head. Aroma is dark dried fruit. The flavor is a complex mix of fruitcake and coffee liqueur. The big issue for me is the not-so-big body. Thin and even slightly watery for a Baltic Porter, even for a moderate one a 7% ABV. Note: better as it warms up.

Pours black, small brown head, no retention. Aroma is pretty weak, caramel and alcohol. Taste is surprisingly good, nice caramel taste, hints of coffee, roasty malt. Defenitly more than i expected from Baltika.

Viscoso.

Dark brown pour with a smallish beige head. Aroma is dark caramel, bread, a hint of roast and a touch of fusel spiciness. Flavor is about the same, but the fusel notes are much more evident, some cardboard oxidation. Medium body, syrupy feel, light carbonation. Not good.

huineman (687) - Madrid, SPAIN - MAR 20, 2017
Pours pitch black, tan head. Aroma is coffee, blackberry, cola jelly, walnut. Taste starts moderately sweet, then slightly sour. A little watery, not really mouth-covering. Somewhat bitterish medium-lasting finish.

melush (3964) - SPAIN - MAR 17, 2017
50cl Bottle @ tienda Rusa Combini, Seville, Spain. Dark brown colour with a thick beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, prune, oats. Taste is roasted malt, milk chocolate, plum, licorice, alcohol. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Much better than expected.

Nose malt and cacao. Large beige head. Reddish black color. Soft malty slightly sour hoppy taste. Some syrup and warming alcohol.
