Pours pitch black with a beautiful tan head. As you bring the glass to your nose, essences of dark chocolate and malts come forth. The taste matches the aroma - dark chocolaty goodness mixed with a hint of caramel. The beginning delivers some sweetness, but this is soon smoothly overtaken by a hoppy, dry, rum-like finish. The medium body supports the flavors well without being too thick.

, from Alko Kaleva, Tampere, Finland. A bit sweet, soft nuances of licorice, some sweet, slightly roasted malts and a hint of lactose. Averagely balanced with medium taste spectrum. Medium aftertaste with slightly roasted malts and a hint of licorice. Medium body with medium/light carbonation. Overall, quite solid product, though a bit artificial and simple.

UPDATED: SEP 26, 2017 Одно из лучших сортов пива производства Baltica. Достаточно мягкий вкус для портера. После легкой ржаной горячи идет долгое мягкое послевкусие. Идеально для ужина.

A good Porter, dark, light sweet and well-balanced. Despite the large range of styles that Baltika produces, the quality is always satisfactory. adamnowek (3156) - Brussels, BELGIUM - AUG 16, 2017
Jet black. Beige head that starts fairly large but middles out into a dense film. Aroma is a little bit of coffee. Taste is coffee liqueur and a bit of sour milk. Light bitterness at the end. Bacchus66 (875) - South Carolina, USA - AUG 14, 2017
500ml bottle WOB HHI. Pours dark brown with reddish edges. Full creamy tan head with good retention and lacing. Lots of dark roasted malt character on the nose. Flavors are rich dark malt, chocolate notes, dark fruit, molasses, earth. Long roasted finish, really nice. Stew41 (2066) - Phuket, THAILAND - AUG 3, 2017
A classic of the genre. Big style, dark chocolate w/ some sweetness late. Good length. Feels at least 7%. Very much in the Baltic playbook with somewhat raw power and meatiness.
