I felt guilty having a Russian beer on the 4th of July, but I was hot and I wanted a refreshing Hefe. This did not dissapoint. Sparkling cloudy yellow with a medium short-lasting white head. Fruity aroma with yeast and wheat. Flavor is yeast, banana, wheat malt and some lemon. Medium body and a nice mouthfeel. Nice and refreshing.

Bottle, 50cL. 5%. Purchase ("La Maison Russe", @Saumur, FR). Home. A golden orange clear beer with a big white foamy head ; medium retention. Clove, banana and herbal notes, lemon notes. Light sweet, light dry refreshing, bitter note. Light body, thin texture, average carbonation, dry sweet spicy finish. Overall, correct.

A good Wheat Beer. Neither a real Hefeweizen nor Witbier, but a good variant on its own, fruity, wheats, enjoyable.

Orangefarben und hefetrüb im Glas mit gut haltender Schaumkrone. Zitroniger Antrunk, schlanker hefiger Körper mit fetter Bananennote. Im Abgang leicht säuerlich mit einer feinen Hopfennote.

4.5
mviljamaa (183) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - APR 28, 2017
Pours with a good amount of white fluffly foam. Color is cloudy typical wheat beer orange. The appearance is very attractive and symmetric. Fruity aroma has soap, banana, hops, slight malt aroma. A very authentic and balanced expression of wheat beer aroma. The only downside is a slight burnt plastic aroma. Palate is very well balanced although it’s not "in the middle", but rather as a slope from dry to oily. That is, the palate is balanced, but it’s not "statically", but rather it’s balanced in a slope way. There’s nice slight dryness so that the beer is not too "moist". Taste has banana, some hops spread to the mouth adding slight dryness, slight bubble gum "edges", some maltiness on the tip of the tongue, hazelnut chocolate in after taste. A very smooth taste that has nothing "edgy" about it. It’s a good presentation of a German-style wheat beer and it’s lighter and fresher than, say, Fransiskaner. Should be served cold enough.

Poured from a 16 OZ bottle into a pint glass at the World of Beer in Savannah. The appearance is a murky yellow color with a small white head. The aroma is grains and some yeast. The taste is similar to the nose, has some fruit notes in the mix.
