UPDATED: JUN 12, 2010 Clear gold with a small white head. Chemical smell and taste. I never tried paint thiner but this might be close. Could not finish. jvmiller (558) - Bel Air, Maryland, USA - SEP 7, 2008
Wow. This is really bad. Think malt liquor bad. Sweet, medium carbonation in the body. Has this pukey taste to it. Yuk. SimonBlok (556) - GRONINGEN, NETHERLANDS - JUL 23, 2016
50 cl bottle at home. Pours clear golden with medium white head that diminishes to a small layer of foam. Carbonation is barely visible. Aroma: light sweet malts, some hops and a trace of spice. Taste: medium sweetness and medium bitterness. Notes of sweet malts and bread. Slightly warming finish. late: medium bodied, sticky texture and medium carbonation. badhack (554) - San Francisco, California, USA - MAY 24, 2012
Pours a clear light yellow. Just a hint of malt and hop in the nose. The taste is very light. It comes of rather crisp and refreshing but finishes rather mediocre. Better than a macro, but not premium. At least it has the 8%. pottygok (548) - Ohio, USA - JAN 23, 2011
Aroma: Smells like alcohol and caramel, almost like burnt sugar.
Appearance: No head whatsoever, cloudy orange gold.
Taste: Heavy sweetness, medium sourness. It almost tastes rotten.
Palate: Light body, oily texture, flat texture, astringent syrupy finish.
Overall: This tastes like bad homebrew left too long in the bottle. Horrible, horrible beer.

500ml bottle from hypermarket in St. Petersburg, clear gold colour, medium rocky head. Somewhat spicy aroma of grain, booze and fruit and a hint of floral hops. Taste is sweetish boozy, abrupt finish, medium body (quite a feat with such a strength). The worst one I’ve tried from Baltika thus far, probably finisheable with enough dried fish. brianjames1 (539) - Northridge, California, USA - NOV 11, 2007
Very strong lager, pale, yellow and fizzy with strong presence of alcohol both in smell and taste donfardz64 (538) - Wellington, New Zealand, NEW ZEALAND - MAR 5, 2009
Pours golden, white head. Aroma is sweet and grainy. Corn pervades, and it quite alcoholic. Flavour is sweet, corny - slight lemon. Hops show at end. I can feel the alcohol in my mouth, but can’t taste it. But overall it tastes like a cheap malt liquor. smoosh (536) - New Albany, Indiana, USA - JAN 31, 2004
Bottle: slight malt in the nose. A little past prime? Looks like a fizzy American standard. Highly carbonated - borderline fizzy. Not a lot of flavor. Some malt in the finish. Not bad for what it seems to be - a Russian attempt at an American Standard. I'd drink 2 of these before any one of the real things! bobaidan (530) - Southington, Connecticut, USA - DEC 15, 2006
Pours very light with a big white head. Very metallic smelling. Flavor reminds me of the beer I drank in college. Cheap, but potent. Not a great or even good beer.
