---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not good, but nowhere near as bad as I was expecting. Generic macro lager aroma with slight alcohol tinge. Taste shows a lot of pear before becoming more like something I’ve tasted at the dentist’s. This antiseptic component stops the dreaded back-of-palate-glugginess of a generic lager and, well, that’s all. Luckily, I didn’t have to drink the whole can.

Pours like an American standard, pale yellow, fizzy and a thin white head. Aromas were not much better; filler corn, rice, mustiness and a syrupy sweetness. Some maltiness comes through in the palate, but outdone by the flavors of corn and sugar syrup. Like drinking carbonated, beer-flavored pancake syrup. Big disappointment compared to their porter.

Pours a small white head that quickly goes away. Smells and tastes like a slightly sweeter than usual malt liquor, ugh! At least it has a high alcohol content...

7-16-08. Bottle. Poured yellow with small head. Smelled of grain alcohol. Tasted of vegetables, grain, and medicine. Not very good.

UPDATED: OCT 5, 2008 Pale yellow, huge 4 finger head that disappeared in a minute or so. Sweet, almost too sweet in a cheap way aroma but not too bad. Grainy, maybe wheat but I doubt there is wheat in here, crisp with a moderately sweet finish. Alcohol nicely masked. I’ll take the Polish and Russian Malt Liquors any day over the American versions (aside from Camo). I killed 3 of these bad boys whilst watching Little League Baseball.

Update 10-04-08
Upon seeing this in a big 51 oz plastic bottle I grabbed 2 of them. Wow this stuff has changed. Or pehaps it’s the big plastic bottle. Either way it has an alcohol burn. Smells like fermented honey and diesel fuel. Cloyingly sweet.
Still drinkable if in a pinch.

Probably the worst beer I had in Russia. Boozy strong lager...not too nice.

Tasted like cheap beer with lots of alcohol. There’s no sense in giving this a decent review. It’s just like every other Euro lager but with lots of alcohol. Tah dah! That’s it. It’ll get you wrecked.
