Pours pale straw with white creamy head and some lacing. Light notes of lemon and hay. Well balanced taste; a bit thin and light, but refreshing - a good beer to have on a hot day.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours golden, clear, single finger white head. Aroma of grass, grain, light wheat, honey. Taste of initial grass, then some grain, light floral notes, then honey sweetness and a decent whack of alcohol. Not bad at all!

If a Malt Liquor and a Strong Cider were to have a baby, this would be it. Sweet alcohol and malty notes along with a gross cardboard flavor is pretty much all you get with this beer. Along with the flavor, the carbonation is way too intense and feels really bad on the palette. Its a Russian Malt Liquor calling itself a "Strong Pale Ale", avoid this at all costs!

Pours light golden, with a large foamy white head. Lightly sweet, fruity aroma. Flavor is also a bit fruity, and slightly acidic, with a light hint of alcohol. Palate is medium, dry, and average. Better than alot of lagers, but a weird overall balance.

Medium white head. Clear golden color. Spicy aroma. Caramel taste with a full roasty palate. Good one.

UPDATED: FEB 14, 2008 Odd. The description at the store sounded good, but I apparently had no idea what I was getting when I bought this. It was ok and had some pleasant elements but it neither smelled nor tasted remotely like beer. Pouring a deep golden yellow with bubbles that soon stilled, it had a white head that dissipated quickly but left a thin, sticky, persistent white head that stayed to the end. Its aroma was pungent and distinct, but smelled just sweet, with a faint, vague musky fruitiness like old, sweet grapes and alcohol. The taste was largely the same, tasting primarily just thickly sweet and alcoholic, with the same vague fruitiness & perfuminess of thick, sweet cheap white wine. It left a faint metallic finish. After I ate some chips, it tasted downright nasty - rough, harsh, alcohol and vague perfume. The whole is a rough, thickly sweet, alcoholic taste with a thick, sticky palate. The full palate and taste have some good points, it certainly doesnt lack flavour, and I will drink this if not eating food with it, but it doesnt really taste like beer at all.

Bottle. Light / pale yellow. Aroma is reasonably fresh, sweet, corn, malt. Guessing this one will be indistinguishable from the Baltika 3....Bingo. Same flavor profile, very sweet, no hoppiness. An off bitterness lingers at the end, which competes with the over the top sugary sweet finish. Nobodys a winner of that competition.

This was a bottle of the Extra Lager 9. It poured a clear golden amber color, which doesnt agree with some of the ratings here. There was a tall white head and plenty of carbonation bubbles rising in the glass. There was a mild citrus hops aroma. There was a strong flavor with a bit of sweetness and a good amount of bitterness that developed and lasted well into the finish. There was some alcohol warmth towards the finish as well.
