A strong lager beer with a taste close to classic lager varieties. The flavor is light and there is a suggestion of malt, together with sweetish notes and mild hops bitterness.
Ingredients: water, light barley malt, maltose syrup and hops.
Produced since 1998. 16.5°

Bottle 0.5 l. Clear yellow, below average white head. Aroma is honey, light grass. Taste of initial grass, then some grain, light floral notes, then honey sweetness and a decent whack of alcohol.

Aroma: Smells like alcohol and caramel, almost like burnt sugar. Appearance: No head whatsoever, cloudy orange gold. Taste: Heavy sweetness, medium sourness. It almost tastes rotten. Palate: Light body, oily texture, flat texture, astringent syrupy finish. Overall: This tastes like bad homebrew left too long in the bottle. Horrible, horrible beer.

500ml bottle from hypermarket in St. Petersburg, clear gold colour, medium rocky head. Somewhat spicy aroma of grain, booze and fruit and a hint of floral hops. Taste is sweetish boozy, abrupt finish, medium body (quite a feat with such a strength). The worst one I’ve tried from Baltika thus far, probably finisheable with enough dried fish.

Very strong lager, pale, yellow and fizzy with strong presence of alcohol both in smell and taste

Pours golden, white head. Aroma is sweet and grainy. Corn pervades, and it quite alcoholic. Flavour is sweet, corny - slight lemon. Hops show at end. I can feel the alcohol in my mouth, but can’t taste it. But overall it tastes like a cheap malt liquor.

Bottle: slight malt in the nose. A little past prime? Looks like a fizzy American standard. Highly carbonated - borderline fizzy. Not a lot of flavor. Some malt in the finish. Not bad for what it seems to be - a Russian attempt at an American Standard. I'd drink 2 of these before any one of the real things!

bobaidan (530) - Southington, Connecticut, USA - DEC 15, 2006
Pours very light with a big white head. Very metallic smelling. Flavor reminds me of the beer I drank in college. Cheap, but potent. Not a great or even good beer.

GKillian (525) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - DEC 11, 2010
Pours pale straw with white creamy head and some lacing. Light notes of lemon and hay. Well balanced taste; a bit thin and light, but refreshing - a good beer to have on a hot day.

MrBlueSky93 (524) - Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - MAY 28, 2015
Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours golden, clear, single finger white head. Aroma of grass, grain, light wheat, honey. Taste of initial grass, then some grain, light floral notes, then honey sweetness and a decent whack of alcohol. Not bad at all!
