Eh ... not as bad as I expected from the reviews below. Basically tastes like an American macro on steroids. Clear gold in color, small white head; slightly sour malt aroma ... sweet malt, corn and alcohol taste-wise; a touch of hop bitterness on the end ... seems like a mere afterthought, though. Big brown bottle of Baltika 9. Clean clear aroma. Refreshing carbonation. Initial taste is acrid sweetness, in a good way. Quite an unrefined alky punch. Comes across like many american ice beers or malt liquors. Rather rude and difficult at times. Reminds me of Big City Ice, same offensive attitude. What a lager blast. Finish is processed cheap high alky american lager. Nice sized bottle, tho. This must be russia’s version of america’s cheap malt liquor! brianjames1 (539) - Northridge, California, USA - NOV 11, 2007

Clear amber, no head, notes of cardboar, little malt, sweet flavoer and some not well hidden alcohol in finish. Never again!

Golden colored, white whispy head. Grain, bread, and grass in the aroma. Lighter bodied, has the character of Kevin Costner. Lowe1983 (1592) - Dayton, Ohio, USA - MAY 31, 2009
Pours a golden color with a white head. Sweet aroma with some grains, little hops, and some alcohol. Flavor is the same with a hint of alcohol and slight hops on the finish. Travlr (24665) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JUL 19, 2009
Piss yellow with a similar taste. Weird. Some sort of spice or poison in the nose. Slight bitterness. Avoid. yngwie (17049) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - DEC 30, 2009
Bottle. It’s a clear, golden beer topped by a finger-thick white head. Fruity, sweetish nose with pale malts and some higher alcohols. Sweet, full-bodied and warming in the mouth, with fruityness and some bitterness. Not much bitterness though, neither initially nor in the very end. Overall it’s not really a bad beer, but the higher alcohols are a bit disturbing, and I won’t miss it if I never am to drink it again. 090829 jport4087 (178) - Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 31, 2010
Me no like. This one is not for me. Sweet and does not even attempt to hide it’s alcohol. This may be the reason the Russians drink vodka.
