A fine representation of an Irish Stout with a twist. Large almost brown head. Opaque black color. Strong roasted aroma. Choclatey flavors intermingled with a hint of coffee. The twist at the end is a pretty big blast of hops. Not usually a fan of hops, But this was acceptable, even enjoyable.
Very dark in color, with a big head. Very much chocolate in the aroma and taste, more than in a standard Irish Stout. Very good! bbooth (115) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - APR 16, 2002
Good Irish Stout. Large head. Roasted, chocolately aroma. Nice full body. Dry finish with a slight bitterness. Gusler (2652) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - MAR 30, 2002
Black in color, large chocolate head and sheets of lace upon the glass. Strong coffee tones and burnt grains in the nose, sweet, hints of chocolate also present. Nice malt sweet start, full top, the finish is dry, light to medium carbonation, pleasant hop finish and a all around good stout.
