COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
ABV in between 4.2% and 4.9%. This excellent brew is our flagship beer. It is a heavily hopped pale ale. India Pale Ales originated during the lengthy colonization of India. British servicemen in India expected beer, however, the styles of the time did not survive the long voyage to India. Brewers quickly discovered that hops acted as preservatives in beer. As such, the heavily hopped ales designed to survive the long trips were born now known as India Pale Ales.

On tap at the brew pub on 2016-11-05. Brew pub was busy, and understaffed, but this was the second beer I had that was under-carbed. Nice hazy tan colour. Decent citrus flavour, with a lighter biscuity malt. Subdued hop aromas and flavour due to lack of carbonation.

22oz poured at hotel room in lake Louise. Pours orangish amber color with a thick white head. Smells like orange and floral hops. Tastes sweet with a slight (very slight) finish. Quite good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma doesnt promise a fantastic beer, but the flavor is a pleasant surprise. Grapefruit and peach balance with a smoky, caramel richness. Microbrewery restaurants are often disappointing. Banff Brewing Co.s IPA nails it!

The aroma is amazing. Tangerine and sweet. The taste let's you down. Bitter citrus and apricot. Dry. Not bad but the smell for me excited for more than the taste delivered. Had this as part of a flight at Banff Brewing.

On draft at the brewery in Banff. Pours a clear copper with an off white head. Citrus nose. Flavors of tropical fruits and grapefruit zest. One of the better IPAs Ive encountered so far in Alberta.

Very fruity aroma like grapefruit juice, still appetizing to my nose. Modest head and slightly foggy gold body. Nice mix of hops layered on the flavour, but mouthfeel is not oily enough. Still not a bad ipa.

Pours clear medium amber with small white head. Aroma of pine, floral, citrus. Hop spice with nice malt tones. Good IPA.

Flowery perfume aroma with a hint of hops. Amber gold color no head. Floral hop taste with a dry feel. Mildly bitter finish.

Pours a cloudy orange with a frothy white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of citrus fruits, grapefruit, light tropical fruits and some sweet pale malts. Taste is grapefruit, light resin, tropical fruits, light caramel pale malts and a nice smooth bitterness. Lightly astringent but overall nicely balanced and easy to drink. Entry level ipa but done well.
