COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
ABV in between 4.2% and 4.9%. This excellent brew is our flagship beer. It is a heavily hopped pale ale. India Pale Ales originated during the lengthy colonization of India. British servicemen in India expected beer, however, the styles of the time did not survive the long voyage to India. Brewers quickly discovered that hops acted as preservatives in beer. As such, the heavily hopped ales designed to survive the long trips were born – now known as India Pale Ales.

PlainsDrifter (96) - Adelphi, Maryland, USA - APR 4, 2015
Pours clear medium amber with small white head. Aroma of pine, floral, citrus. Hop spice with nice malt tones. Good IPA.

Luvystypotables (2077) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - DEC 26, 2014
Flowery perfume aroma with a hint of hops. Amber gold color no head. Floral hop taste with a dry feel. Mildly bitter finish.

Reimer96 (1778) - Alberta, CANADA - SEP 28, 2014
Pours a cloudy orange with a frothy white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of citrus fruits, grapefruit, light tropical fruits and some sweet pale malts. Taste is grapefruit, light resin, tropical fruits, light caramel pale malts and a nice smooth bitterness. Lightly astringent but overall nicely balanced and easy to drink. Entry level ipa but done well.

3.3
Oakes (19010) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 20, 2014
Hazy dull tan, has a mellow hop fruitiness. Modest bitterness, biscuity malts, nice fruity character. Good APA really.

pinte de blonde prise au bar. arome d’agrume et de houblon. au gout petite amertume mais pas trop agressive bonne ipa de soif

2.5
mcberko (19175) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 17, 2014
On tap at Banff Ave Brewing, pours a hazy orange with a medium white foamy head. Aroma reveals British hops and some herbal fungal notes. Flavour matches accordingly, with fruity hops, British malt, and again that fungal quality. Not overly pronounced on the hops, but well-enough balanced. Not very inspiring.

TimE (6163) - Tokyo, JAPAN - MAY 13, 2014
UPDATED: JAN 1, 2015 golden amber color. Very floral nose with a touch of tangerine. Thin body, lacks back bone, but drinkable moderate bitter finish. Stepping stone ipa, but enjoyable

Masterkush7 (581) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - APR 30, 2014
I found this to be a pretty weak ipa. It's lacks a lot of hop presence that is expected in an ipa. Was still good I guess I felt a bit mislead. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

3.5
Ferris (16696) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 31, 2013
Draft - Nice fresh grapefruit and some sweet tropical fruit. Cloudy orange with a thick head. Grapefruit and resin with a very muted bitterness. Not bad for a local, but could have a bigger punch. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
