Aroma doesn’t promise a fantastic beer, but the flavor is a pleasant surprise. Grapefruit and peach balance with a smoky, caramel richness. Microbrewery restaurants are often disappointing. Banff Brewing Co.’s IPA nails it! reebtogi (6240) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 9, 2011
Pint on tap at the brewery was listed at 5.4%ABV on the list of beers on their chalkboard in the bar. Pour was a clear golden color with a small white head which left behind a thin lacing. Light floral hop aroma with a hint of grains. Taste is a modest hoppy bitterness with an light sweetness underneath. Finish is very crisp and mouthfeel is decent. This was a surprisingly good IPA which was my favorite of this brewpub. kaser (6220) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 28, 2016
The aroma is amazing. Tangerine and sweet. The taste let's you down. Bitter citrus and apricot. Dry. Not bad but the smell for me excited for more than the taste delivered. Had this as part of a flight at Banff Brewing. ryanhunter_4 (283) - Strathmore, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 3, 2016
22oz poured at hotel room in lake Louise. Pours orangish amber color with a thick white head. Smells like orange and floral hops. Tastes sweet with a slight (very slight) finish. Quite good.

Tap at brewpub. Golden and clear. Holds on to a small creamy white cap. Nice lace. Sweet orangey hop nose. Taste has biscuity and toasty malt. Grapefruit hop accents. Grapefruit and orange aftertaste. Nice lingering bitterness. Light body and nice mouthfeel. Hard to believe its so light in alc. super drinkable. piscator34 (2515) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - MAY 16, 2012
On draft at the brewpub. Gold/orange in colour with medium carbonation. Aroma are of Centennial hops and light pale malt. The orange-spice of the Centennial hops are strong in the mouth as well, backed by more light pale malts. Light bodied with medium bitterness. Coult be a bit more bitter to translate as more IPA like, but this is a pretty tasty beer as is. Could be Bells Two Hearted’s little brother. Draft - Nice fresh grapefruit and some sweet tropical fruit. Cloudy orange with a thick head. Grapefruit and resin with a very muted bitterness. Not bad for a local, but could have a bigger punch.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2015 golden amber color. Very floral nose with a touch of tangerine. Thin body, lacks back bone, but drinkable moderate bitter finish. Stepping stone ipa, but enjoyable Reimer96 (1743) - Alberta, CANADA - SEP 28, 2014
Pours a cloudy orange with a frothy white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of citrus fruits, grapefruit, light tropical fruits and some sweet pale malts. Taste is grapefruit, light resin, tropical fruits, light caramel pale malts and a nice smooth bitterness. Lightly astringent but overall nicely balanced and easy to drink. Entry level ipa but done well.
