COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered
Ingredients: Water, Malted Barley (2-Row British and Australian), Hops (Yakima Clusters and Styrian Goldings), Yeast, Sugar, Corn Syrup
Launched: 1961
Banks Beer, the beer of Barbados, is a premium pilsner style lager with a smooth, fresh aroma and a medium alcohol content. Banks is brewed from a pure classic blend of 2-Row British and Australian malted barleys deliciously flavored by Yakima Clusters and the noble Styrian Goldings aroma hops. It is however Barbados’ water, naturally filtered through limestone rock, along with our own special strain of yeast, which give Banks Beer its unique Bajan character and distinctive quality. Consistently the #1 choice among beer drinkers in Barbados since it was first produced in 1961.

Ernest (7858) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 9, 2017
Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy/fizzy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (cereal/corn), trace hops (herbs), with a light note of DMS. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter, unclean. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Welcome to Florida!

Bottle. Pours a pale golden color with small off-white head. Sweet grainy and malty aroma. Quite sweet flavor with a bit of cereal notes. Light bodied. Better than expected, but pretty typical of this style.

(bottle) clear golden colour with a frothy white head. aroma of green apple, corn on the cob and dusty malts, with lots of butter and yeast to boot. flavour is more of the same, lots of old malts and raisins, with a touch of bran flakes in the empty finish. medium-bodied with average carbonation.

Ritzn (1888) - GERMANY - OCT 24, 2017
Clear yellow with almost non head. Aroma is lots of peas, some not too bad hop character of some grass and meadow, some paper. Taste is sour and strange sweet. Drinkable, a bit too musty. SinH4 said it well.

jonas (8155) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - OCT 24, 2017
Bottle. Golden, grey low head, low carbonation. Grassy earthy minerallic hops, hayish straw malt, moppy light body, artificial sweetness, DMS, mineral dry, phew.

Bottle. Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is oxidized, papery, and peas. Taste is the same. Medium carbonation. Classic Country tick, but at least from a brown bottle.

Maits (584) - ESTONIA - SEP 1, 2017
Clear light yellow beer with minimal quickly disappearing head. Aroma is weak, little sweet malty and bitter grain. Light sweet taste with some few bitter hints at the background. Light body, watery texture. Just another pale lager.

DocLock (11101) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 19, 2017
Draft on Carnival Magic in the Turks islands. Pale gold, white head, lighter, watery body, corny pale malt, mild hops. Not offensive, but not much going on.

Luvystypotables (2077) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - AUG 11, 2017
A bready grainy nose with notes of malt, pours a pale gold color with a thin white well laced head. Not much of a flavor, bitter with notes of grain, light body with a bitter finish.

12oz bottle @ home. Clear gold with a persistent fine white cap. Not much going on aroma wise, very light malt, old carpet. Flavors are light malt, corn, again not much happening. Very short finish. If you keep this really cold it’s not too bad and suitable for outdoor quaffing.
