Cask at the Pump House, Shirley, Solihull. Poured a clear medium brown with a frothy white head and lots of clingy lace. The aroma is woody hop, some malt. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a dry light spicy, woody, light resin hop bitter, light malt palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask @ The welfare tavern, spoons Exeter. A focused and nuanced apa, punchy and rhythmically hoppy. Notes of pungent grapefruit hops , extremely aromatic, dry and penetrating my cotton mouth thirst... The citrus bitterness refreshes my brain ... Angles turn to orange peth interaction subtlety ... Could be mango too ..Black bruised banana pops out suggesting an amalgamation of fruit nuances ... I like how any sweet toffee malt is very very subtle . The nose offered from this beer is strangely reserved - I mean considering the vibrant flavour. This is a good APA .

Amber color, good creamy beige head. Lots of citrus and grapefruit in the nose. Light to medium-bodied. Pale malty with hints of pils and cara, grapefruity hoppyness. Nicely sessionable ale.

tombyars (1811) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - JUL 4, 2016
Tasted this in the Salt Cot, Saltcoats (JDW) on the 2nd July 2016. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear orange amber in colour with a thin creamy white head. Light citrus fruit on the short hoppy nose. Thin creamy mouthfeel and good lacing. Short malt backbone with juicy pink grapefruit full in the mouth. Short bitter aftertaste with a dusty citrus edge coming through. Finish is hoppy with dry citrus peel present on the palate. Not much to write about from this American Pale Ale, poor overall.
