Pours a clear, red amber with no head (small white ring). Aroma is a nutty, caramel blend with a hint of the hops (just barely discernable). Taste was relatively sweet, a hint sour, masking what little hops taste may be found. Light bodied and slightly oily. Clean finish with a malty aftertaste. Overall, nothing special. This beer plays it too safe. unclemike (3195) - Junction City Kansas, Kansas, USA - NOV 29, 2014
Poured redish copper color with white head that hung around for a few minutes. Aroma was nice, kinda like a Jolly Rancher. Tasted dry with a wine like feel, not bad if you enjoy watered down wine. EtTuCthulhu (1391) - Columbia, Missouri, USA - OCT 27, 2014
This beer pours a reddish brown color with a large off-white head that fades quickly, and the aroma blends roasted malts, fig, and a hint of toffee. The taste is very malty, producing a mildly sweet caramel flavor mixed with a mildly sour dough flavor, and the aftertaste has some faint malt without much else. The palate fuses a slick texture, medium-light body, and an average carbonation. drowland (9184) - Georgia, USA - OCT 1, 2014
10/1/14. 12oz bottle thanks to my folks! Mostly clear amber pour with a small khaki head that fades, very minimal lacing. The aroma strikes me as sour in a way, in a yogurt way, caramel, burnt toffee... eh. Lightly sour flavor as well, malty, caramel, toffee, chalky, can’t say I get smoke out of this. Meh. Bottle from Hy Vee in South Sioux City, NE. Appearance is a clear reddish-amber pour with a small ring white head. Aroma is caramel malt and some toast, very mild on any hop profile, somewhat earthy. Not picking up any smoke. Taste is slightly sweet. Not great, not awful.

Copper pour with a thin, off white head. Aroma of toast, cereal, seedy sweetness, caramel, sweet white bread crust and light floral and spicy hops. Flavor is caramel, toast, bread crust, earthy spice, sweet, white bread crust, light nutty notes, fallen leaves and light spicy hops. Light to medium body, moderate strength carbonation and slick to sticky feel. Decent. CanIHave4Beers (4236) - Pouring Bus, Iowa, USA - NOV 2, 2012
Pours a deep orange with a small tight head and very little lacing on the glass.
The aroma is malty and doughy. Some toasty malt, faintly herbal, with some caramel. The hops are light but noticeable.
The flavor is nicely malty but not without a very pleasant herbal bitterness. The beer is hearty tasting, lightly sweet but presents a decent depth of malt character with a nice balance with the hop bitterness.
Perfectly good beer, and by far better than anything I had expected from this brands lineup or from Point Oktoberfest.
