DrnkMcDermott's rating

3.1
DrnkMcDermott (3096) - Downers Grove, Illinois, USA - NOV 26, 2012
12 ounce bottle, $2 single at HyVee, Ankeny, IA. Picked up as part of my scramble to not let November be my month with the fewest ratings ever. Screw-top crown, followed by my sin of pouring into a plain old shaker glass. Appearance is a bright amber, with plenty of thick, orange-y foam. Smell has some light citrus and grassy hop overtones. A fake store brand beer this may be, but at least they are up front about their hop bill. Taste brings up some earthy hop notes suited to an English IPA. This is more hop-forward than their web page suggests. Has a bit of a curdled aftertaste, but that may be my cold speaking. I see that I can trust the Point guys for a solid brew even when contracted.

12 oz bottle. (HyVee) Dubuque, IA.
Clear golden color with a small white head. Sweet pear, perfumy and candy hops, mild bitterness, sugar and malt in the aroma. Like really sweet perry cider. The flavor is sweet fruity hops, mild bitterness, sweetness, pear and some malt. Sweet.

Sample from bottle at Hy-Vee Oktoberfest. Pours amber, white head. Aroma was citrus, grassy pine. Taste is medium bitter, pine.

bookman10 (1112) - Osseo, Minnesota, USA - AUG 2, 2016
Pours a dark amber, with minimal head. Aroma has a lot of bread and roasted grain, some hops. Flavor is very bready, too, almost too much so. The grains and breadiness are really given the spotlight here, to the detriment of the hops, and the beer. There are some citrus and spruce flavors, but too little to my taste.

euniceradio (525) - Worthington, Minnesota, USA - FEB 12, 2016
12oz bottle to tulip. Pours clear copper, small white dissipating head. Aroma of citrus, bread, grass and fig. Taste of same with some caramel and sugar-free bubblegum. Finish is fig, earth bitter.

Bottle courtesy of HuskerTan, thanks! Clear bright golden amber color, white head. Nice fruity aroma. Tate is bittersweet citrus, mainly orange peel. Tasty.

bigcat03 (316) - Columbus, Nebraska, USA - AUG 1, 2015
Bottle poured into a shaker; pours a nice shade of copper with a small sudsy head and no real carbonation; a little malt to the nose...but not much else; some grassy hops to start...and end. This taste doesn’t develop at all. Mouthfeel is decent which makes it a passable summer/grilling/lawnmower beer.
