12.01.2015. On tap at Baran Café, Bergen. Dark dark brown colour with tan head. Dry with aromas of dark malts, cocoa and thin cold coffee. Bit very rich but there is a lit of good flavours of dark malts and dry bitter cocoa. Good one. Inbreak (6330) - Loddefjord, NORWAY - JUL 11, 2015

Nice light brown creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry sour-ish roasted, grass, dark malts, sour coffee, unripe fruits, paper, soap. Taste is slightly sour-ish roasted, dark malts, burnt caramel, grass, soap, weeds, paper, burnt coffee, hay. Medium bitterness, slightly sour-ish mouthfeel. Boring.

On tap at Baran Cafe, pours a deep dark brown with an amber tinge and a medium beige head. Nose is quite dry, with oats, chalk and earthy notes. Flavour is weak, with chalk and earthy notes, oats, and stale bready malts. Lifeless body, with not much going on. There are much better dry stouts out there. Tap at Baran Cafe, Bergen. Slim beige halo over a glossy black snifter. Good mellow English brimstone, leaf matter and bramble nose approaching an 8. Everton mint, berries, cocoa, huge balance and drinkability. Excellent. Foffern (1952) - Bodø, NORWAY - DEC 12, 2014
On tap at Baran. The colour is black with a creamy, light brown head. A careful aroma of some roasted malt, coffee, dark wood and leather. The flavour is more roasted with some nuts and rye bread. Has a slick and light mouth feel, and a light bitterness. An easy drinking and balanced dry stout. A little light though. Palme (4812) - Bergen, NORWAY - NOV 1, 2013
On tap @ Baran. This is a deep deep dark - almost black one with a almost nitro-looking light creamy ashy top. Looks good. Smells quite roasty and I have to say, quite delicious. Some salty tones with sweet soy sauce and a soft dry roasty chocolate tone. I like this. It’s quite lively on the carbonation this! Almost what I would call fizzing. The taste is almost as impressive as the aroma. Chocolaty ashes with both cocoa, licorice, it’s light lactal and softly sweet in a dry way. So drinkable, tasty and I think I’m almost starting to repeat my self here, impressive. 04.01.2013 ClubGonzo (5685) - Bergen, NORWAY - JAN 18, 2013
On tap @ Baran Cafe, Bergen. Pours a black body with a small off-white head. Nose is cocoa, eggnog-like alcoholic tones, dark chocolate, coffee, and hints of nuts. Taste is roasty ash-like cocoa and milk chocolate tones, with hints of coffee and nuts. Medium body and carbonation. Rather sweet, but with loads of flavor for the low ABV. By far the most successful beer from Baran so far.
