On tap at Baran Cafe, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Nose brings out Belgian yeast, coriander and cereal malt. Flavour brings out Belgian yeast, cereal and floral notes. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, grain, wheat, wort, banana, hint of orange and coriander. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter with a sweet, banana, wheat and slightly dry finish. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.
On tap at the brewpub. A yellow colored beer, unclear and with a finger thick off-white head leaving some curtains. The aroma is pretty grainy, lightly perfumed, with coriander, citrus peel and some notes of banana. A bit sweet on the palate, with a nice carbonation. Medium body. Even though it feels a bit sweet, it’s quite dry on the palate. Too low on coriander and citrus, with too much banana. Lasting finish. On tap @ Baran as #2 Wit. This is a cloudy golden-orange one with a small just off-white top. Some soft tangerines and oranges on the nose along with soft grains, corn and coriander. A bit strange, but not to bad. It’s big bubbled and just above average on the carbonation with a soft oily to watery mouthfeel. I get a slightly smoked flavor in this Baran brew as well. Much like the flavor I’ve had in many of their brews. Slightly wheaty with some soft hay and old refidged lemons. Something in these brews that’s not completely tickling my tongue. 02.02.2013

Lett frisk og fruktig lukt med preg av lys malt, humle, koriander, sitrus, såpe, sitrusskal, gras. Lett fruktig smak med preg av lys malt, humle, grønsåpevatn, krydder, sitrus, korn, gras, høy. Middels bitterhet og lengde. Neste......eller kanskje ikkje!
On tap at Baran, Bergen. The colour is hazy straw-yellow with a medium white creamy head. A distinct aroma of pepper, coriander, hay and some basement. The flavour is more strange with soap, hay and some fruit and ammonia. Has a soft and nice mouthfeel, and a light bitterness. A decent base in this ale but the flavour is a bit weird. On tap @ Baran Cafe, Bergen. A new local brewery in Bergen, this is so cool! :-) Let’s see what they have in store. Pours a hazy light straw body, small creamy white head. Nose is peppery soapy coriander tones, hints of earth, grains and salmiac-ish chemical tones. Taste is pale malts, coriander, sweet wheat notes and some very disturbing tones of chlorine, cooked vegetables and earthy hints in a rather disharmonic combination. Full body, soft carbonation. Weird, and not in a good way. On tap at Baran Cafe, Bergen. Pours hazy yellow with a big white head. Aroma is light spicy, coriander, yeast and fruits. Taste is well balanced, with some spices and juicy citrus. High carbonated,short end.
