Tasting at Oakes' Manor; vintage 2017fiery1 (1863) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 7, 2017
Ugly dull brown-reddish color, murky. The aroma is a bit puckery, but it has a good body strength, mild residual acidity, good berry presence, and light final astringency.
500ml bottle @ Josh's. Acquired from RBSG'17 Boise. Pours a cloudy purplish brown colour with a small off-white head. Nose is sour boysenberries with blackberry pie filling. Flavour is tart berries with a somewhat rough around the edges character that finishes with a woody character. mcberko (20509) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 7, 2017
500mL bottle, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Nose seems very acidic, with lots of tart red berries, and aggressive acidic berry skins. Flavour is not quite as acidic as the nose suggests, with lots of tart red berries and fairly aggressive acidity. Not a complex beer, but it's very pleasant, finishing acidic, tart, dry and wood. Good stuff. Oakes (19737) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 7, 2017
Light brown. Tart, and a little bit of barrel, vinous character, So there's a moderate acidity, lots of barrel, and then there's a hit of vinegar. It's not so bad, but I'm not sure it's entirely on point...it seems like a rough draft or something want to enhance with some fruit. But that's just my take - it seems like a beer people might have differing opinions on. JStax (7455) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - AUG 2, 2017
Bottle shared at rbsg. The beer is a murky red with a khaki head of foam. Berry and dry, earthy acidity in the aroma. Dry and wine-ish. Medium tartness. Medium body and low carbonation.

Pour at the RBSG17 opening meet and greet. Pours a clear ruby with a medium sized white head. Soft berries on the nose, a touch of acidity, a bit of fruit. Medium bodied, bright berries over acid, a bit acetic, tart and tangy, long acid. Long berries on the finish, acid and fruit into the finish. Lovely, delicate.
