33cl bottle brought home from France by my lovely and patient wife. Pours a deep brown verging on black. Very little tan head, mostly a ring soon after pouring. Aroma is yeasty lightly roasted malt, reminds me of Westmalle. Taste is certainly Belgian like; mild yeast, chewy caramel malt with some roast, slight toffee hit. Mouthfeel is somewhat effervescent. Finish has some dark fruit, caramel malt. Excellent. zacgillbanks (5180) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - AUG 8, 2012

Nice Black Ale with authentic chocolate taste, cereal and slightly licorice taste. Not so creamy but a very long finish. Has a medium sweetness, the aroma is so nice that we forgot the alcool. sebletitje (10080) - Enghien, BELGIUM - JUL 7, 2010

Dark beer with a thin head and a smell of chocolate, fruit and malt. Flavour follows suit with the fruit coming through quite strong. Body is a touch watery but it’s very drinkable. Quack-Duck (9484) - Down South, GERMANY - FEB 21, 2012
bottle, merci beaucoup, Pascal! Hazy brown colour, small off-white head. Malty base with caramel and lots of roaseted malt flavours, with a bitter and hoppy punch in the finish. Smooth palate and well balanced! Davros (3183) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAY 26, 2013
Pours dark brown with a fading off-white head.
Nose shows toasty malt, some sweet brown sugar, bready malt and nutty character. Enticing.
Similar flavours, nutty and bready malt with the Belgian dubbel-like brown sugar note in there too.
Carbonation seems a little high.
Would be a really good brown ale if not for the brown sugar character. Kavu (4793) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 18, 2015
A small taste from a friend (bottle) @ One Pint Pub. Pours very deep amber with a medium head. Aroma is grainy roasted malts. Flavor is roasted malts, coffee, hops and some anise. Decent. joergen (28142) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 2, 2011
