Tap, snifter: Coppery hue with a frothy head and good lace. The aroma has a nice spice and sweet malt overtone along with some resiny and grassy hop esters, slightly boozy and a tad flowery. I like the malt backbone and finishing hop bitterness to offset the moderate spice use. There is a bit of butterscotch and metallic notes but they do not distract too much. The mouth feel is sticky yet dry. Overall this is quite good and among the better beer I have had of this genre.
