Draft. Pours black with a nice tan head. Faint but roasty aroma. Flavor is mostly roasted malts but with hints of chocolate and coffee. Pretty one dimensional. Finish is bitter and chalky. Fairly watery but smooth. Decent, especially considering the brewer. AirForceHops (8026) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - APR 12, 2011
If I said it was a watered down Guinness, That would be an understatement! This stout falls short in every aspect. AB just never has brewed anything that is worth a damn. gsmitty80 (2130) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 5, 2010
This is a pretty average, maybe slightly less than stout. Not too much flavor but no overwhelming chocolate or smoke...just watered down heavy malt. rougeau13 (3276) - Richmond, Texas, USA - JUL 28, 2010
UPDATED: MAR 29, 2016 Tap at Einstein’s Pub in Katy, TX. Surprisingly good for budweiser stout, not that that’s saying a whole lot. halfonit (1412) - Fall River, Massachusetts, USA - JUN 30, 2010
On tap at the AB Brewery in Merimack NH after taking the tour. Pours black in color. Aroma and taste is basically made up of dusty malts with a little roastiness. Leaves a malt finish. Nothing really special, but it was a decent attempt to a stout by Anheuser Busch.

Tried this for the first time at Stout’s Irish Pub in Atlanta...
Pours black with a huge creamy white head. Say what you will about the rest of the beer but it looks great. The smell is very lightly roasty and bitter.
The flavor in very atringent. The pleasant creamy bitterness of the big dry stouts is ruined by an unpleasant atringency. Mouth is very creamy and smooth. But the total flavor is not that great. I’ll take a pass on this in the future but it’s not terrible. mallons72 (210) - livonia, Michigan, USA - FEB 27, 2010
On tap Wintergarden Livonia. This is a guinness until the finish - a poor finish. Something is not quite right. Tastes like Guinness out of a dirty tap. troyc (2869) - Illinois, USA - NOV 2, 2009
[Tap] Pours a dark brown color with a small amount of beige head. Dusty grains in the aroma. The taste is like a muted version of Guinness, as mentioned by other raters. I got some coffee, toffee and burnt caramel notes in there. Light body. Rather high carbonation, but still a dry finish. Nejhleader (1574) - Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 12, 2009
This reminded me of a lesser version of Guinness. Body was a bit thin, had a slight roast/chocolate/coffee taste. Average brew. BeerHawk (1811) - Huntsville, Alabama, USA - SEP 26, 2009
Draft. Black in the glass with a creamy off-white head. Subdued aroma of roasted malts. Milk chocolate flavor. Light body, thin, and watery.
