Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a murky yellow-apricot color with a medium sized soapy-foamy white head that faded and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was orange, bread, phenol and bubblegum. The flavor was sweet orange, bread and a hint of bubblegum. Medium finish. Moderately full bodied. Solid.

Good hefe, lots of banana and cloves. Carboanted, looks good. A little coating of the mouth. Not B and H’s best, but okay.

Slightly hazy yellow pour. Citrus and lemon aroma. Flavor of light fruit, maybe a little pineapple. It’s alright. Gives some contrast to the other mediocre beers.

Tap at brewpub. Pours hazy straw yellow with a medium, creamy white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is straw and bread malt with banana and light fruity esters. Flavor is malt dominant, lightly bitter citrus and hops, heavy banana and a dry finish. Light body, low warmth, medium-light carbonation.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: NOV 17, 2006 I sampled this beer on tap at the brewery. Very rich, fruity aroma composed mostly of hops. A cloudy, golden appearance with a foamy white head that lasted well into the drink. The flavor was heavily sweet, not bitter or sour. The beer had a medium body with an almost-thick texture. Overall a good seasonal draft beer, served with a slice of lemon.

Draft... Coudy, light straw colored ale with no head. The aroma is of banana, biscuit and citrusy lemon zest. The flavor is thin, but full of banana and tangy lemon. No clove or bubblegum in the nose or flavor. Ultra-light bodied and fizzy. Short, crisp, clean finish. Where’s the malt? A mediocre offering, but very refreshing on a such a hot, humid day.
