Bottle kindly shared by John in Johnny’s Off Licence, Rome. Complex fruitiness, bitter sweet. Grapes, spices, well balanced. The hops are not too evident, but they are doing the job creating a balance. Long lovely finish.

From bottle at Vilvordia fest. Muddy dark brown color. Lightly sweetish nose like New Orleans pralines, brown sugar and nuts. A bit sweet, mildly bitter, well-rounded flavor with that nutty-caramel backdrop. Another dangerous one, tasty and drinkable.

Bottle. Pours a murky dark brown with reddish hues. There’s a thin light brown head present. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla and light notes of oak. The flavour is roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla and grape. Medium bodied with a sweet finish. Could be a better beer but the overall balance just isn’t quite there yet.

Bottled. An unclear red-brown beer with a thin tan head. The aroma is sweet wtih strong notes of spices - especially cinnamon. The flavor is sweet with notes of whiskey, cinnamon, burnt malt, celery, and coffee, leading to a spicy and bitter finish where notes of cinnamon and coffee lingers. Huge thanks to yespr for sharing.

[Bottle] Pours brown with a good tan head. Aroma is really weird--quite sweet with chocolate, some malt, and what I assume is an odd contribution from the grapes. The taste is a little too hot, but otherwise roasted malt, chocolate, grape again. A little thin, very smooth, with a long, slightly dry finish. A little hot at time, and really a weird beer, but certainly drinkable and overall good. Glad I got this one in the bargain bin at half cost, because despite its good points, it would not be worth what I would have paid for it at full price.

Stemware sampler at local beer seminar. Walnut/brown hue with some small, bubbly, off white ring of head and some fair lace. Aroma was malt, caramel and cocoa. These follow into the flavor with a little dark fruit and roasted notes. Alcohol is present but subdued nicely by the flavors.
