So intense the aroma, dark fruits, cocoa, dates, plums, grapes and also pear, brown with reddish reflections, medium body, a bit oily, carbonation is soft, taste is similar with more dark fruity notes, again cocoa and figs....great beer, maybe for me not enough thick to drink alone in a dark night like other strong barley wine or irs but perfect with a good dessert.

0,75 bottle at Baccusardus (Villasimius-Sardinia). It pours a very dark brown, almost black color. Ivory/brownish foam with medium retention and lacing. Nose: very complex aroma of torrone, cellar, wine must, berries, cocoa. Mouth: same complexity, talks to a quadruple, flatter, easier, much cocoa and red fruit.

PowY (1037) - AUSTRIA - AUG 30, 2017
UPDATED: SEP 6, 2017 750 ml bottle, as Barley BB10. Pours a dark chestnut brown with a creamy, beige head. Aroma of mildly roasted malt - toffee, caramel - quiet fruity, red fruits, prunes, slightly floral with some herbal hops. Medium to full body with a light to medium carbonation, a light to medium sweetness and a medium bitterness. Flavor of dark fruits, prunes, dates, some toasted malt, some coffee, wood, vinous. More like a barley wine.

LIBF2017.
