A fairly roasted aroma with some chocolate. A nice beer, it’s thick but doesn’t stick in the finish but also doesn’t die away. Good stuff. onceblind (9688) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 12, 2011
GABF 2011. Heavy black with a fading tan head. Nice dark roasty chocolate aroma with coffee and dark toasted grains. Flavor is nice and grand--coffee, chocolate, dark chewy cereal grains. Big body with a nice linger. Pretty great. Ratman197 (14842) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - JUL 30, 2006
On tap @ Barley Brothers poured a opaque black with a lasting brown head. Aromas of roasted malt, coffee and bitter chocolate. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of bitter chocolate, smoke, mocha and vanilla with a lingering bittersweet finish. riversideAK (6261) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - JUL 10, 2007
This was some damn good stuff. Roasty and sweet coffee aroma. Pours black with a thin tan head. Flavor is more roasty coffee. A little sweet. Some fruitiness? Finishes mildly hoppy as I can pick up some citrus on the back end. Finishes very smooth. Odeed (1803) - Bakersfield, California, USA - APR 30, 2009
