Had on draft at the brewery. This is one of the best ESBs that I have had. Toffee, bready, grainy, caramel malts, slight fruity esters. Clean, easy drinking, glad I tried this beer. I typically dislike ESBs. BlackDonald (1126) - Gulf Shores, Alabama, USA - AUG 13, 2008
A decent albeit lighter take on the style, that I found to be very drinkable. Lively fruit in the nose from the hop profile. Caramel maltiness on the palate, showing nice balance between the malt sweetness and the bitter bite from the hops coming through in the afterpalate, leaving a nice lingering finish, but still manages to remain clean and crisp. Nicely done. oldrtybastrd (5228) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - DEC 23, 2006
Pours a nice hazy golden orange color. Aromas of nice citrus/grapefruit hops. Flavor starts malty and the hops kick in, nice crisp bitter finish. Sham (1844) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 2, 2006
Clear copper with an off white head and spotty lacing. Fruity nose with lemons and oranges. Some bitter hops with crystal malts. Flavor is of caramel and light fruity hops. Creamy because of the nitro. Finish is fruity and malty. Too bad it was on nitro.

A very basic example of this style. A very nice copper penny coloring. This is a doughy, sweet and overly malty. The hop character is all wrong for the style in my opinion, herbal and astringent. bitter bleach water. The only great thing about this beer is that it is finished and has a great appearance from start to finish, great lacing.
