Teku Tavern, Seattle. Thick soap foam, bright deep orange body. Intense resin perfume, earthy with a hint of fruit. Thick resin body, but plenty of lightening carbonation. Heavy, plenty of alcohol richness rounding the whole thing out. Heavy, smooth, huge IPA. Coating feel, minty earth overtones with a depth of pith. Nice beer.

Huge resinous hop nose - simcoe dank and citrus some toast, medium sweet malt notes and some alcohol. Straight up old school smack you in you in the face iipa. Not this hazy soft ne shit. Golden orange, good clarity, head retention lace etc. Danky bitter resinous and dry with solid citrus throughout. Some toast and biscuit and mild sweetness. Dry oily hop resin lingers forever. Alcohol warmth shows up. Good shit. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Hawthorne hop house. Goblet. Hazy gold with white head. Smells of citrus hop and alcohol, fits the style perfectly. Hop, citrus, alcohol, sweet. A quintessential imperial or double ipa. Excellent.

Draught at Apex, Portland
Hazy golden color with compact head. Musky strong IPA, moderately sweet, but not caramelly or heavy; the hops are sturdy. Not necessarily easy to drink, or exciting.
Heavy beer. Heavy concept.

On tap at Apex, pours a clear golden copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney and herbal hops, and biscuity malt. Flavour is wonderfully balanced, with loads of piney hops, some herbal notes, and just enough dry malt to back. Excellent balance - with loads of hops that don’t become burdensome. Wonderful.

Draft - Lots of nice grapefruit. Clear gold with a decent white head. Lots of grapefruit and nice bitterness. Clean and simple.

Growler my friend drove over to Boise from the taproom today. Smells great. Grapefruit, lemon, dank hops. Tastes great too. Bitter and a little sweet. Full of flavor. Really liked this.

GABF 2014. Pours an orange amber with white lacing. Aroma is citrus, grapefruit, pine and caramel malt. Mouthfeel is light to medium with notes of citrus, pine, mango and clean malt.

Growler. Thanks, C! What an awesome treat. Pours a murky bright orange with a dense and creamy light tan head. Big sweet and juicy grapefruit and caramel nose. Creamy thick body with sluggish carb. Chewy mid palate, lots of heavy malt, some unfermented malt sugar for sure. Big presence. Lots of flavor--big heavy sweet finish.

UPDATED: SEP 5, 2016 Wow! Up front hoppiness , yet very smooth and drinkable . No alcohol burn, but this beer brings on wooziness . Orange copper color, oil skin head, hop dominance for aroma and taste . A real beauty!
