Past notes. On tap. Colour...copper hued with a very slight haze and a decent size off white head. Nose...massively hoppy! The simcoes really come through as does loads of pine pitch and crushed ponderosa needles. Palate...geez sweet Louise!! Talk about sweetness! This is like a diabetic coma in a glass! Intensely cloying, this ale brings forth a brigade of toffee, Turkish delight and Medjool date paste. The piney aspect is ever present and there’s plenty of earthy, dusty hops. Satsuma mandarin hits the back of the palate and the finish is lengthy and still immense with sugar. kaserk (55) - wdm, Iowa, USA - JUN 20, 2014
Drank this draw at Beaver Tap. Very smooth and fresh. I would for sure drink this again. JohnGalt1 (1721) - Boise, Idaho, USA - MAY 7, 2014
Very clear golden... good 1" head and great lace.
tons of fresh fruity hoppiness.... citrus and pineapple come to mind.. just enough maltiness to drive the hops up and out of the glass.
very bright bitterness out of the gates... with again a definite West Coast feel when it comes to the malts... mid palate is a huge blast of tropical fruit hoppiness (simcoes?)
Great Body and carbonation.
Honestly reminds me of PtE... very very good. Sarlacc83 (2287) - Portland, Oregon, USA - APR 3, 2014
A: Copper color with a thin off-white head. Good lacing.
N: Dried pineapple, tangerine, fruit syrup, toffee and caramel, biscuit.
T: Huge hops, bracing bitterness, overwhelming sweetness. Power hour DIPA. Fruit everywhere.
M: Alcoholic, resinous, huge body.
O: This is loud; screaming in your ear to get out of the way or enjoy it immensely. When talk about Dreadnaught, this is what I assume they actually think they had. Damned if this isn’t a killer at the end. pdx77 (1483) - Oregon, USA - MAR 23, 2014
On draught at Apex. Orange-hued golden color. Aroma is pine, tart grapefruit, and a vegetal grass note. Taste is super resinous pine, tart grapefruit, citrus caramel malts. Quite the hop bomb; the bitter pine and citrus lingers for a while afterwards.

Draft at apex. Pours clear pale/light amber, white head, some lacing. Aroma: some pine and pee; crystal sugary sweetness to the nose as well. Pretty sweet taste with big bitter finish. Spicy, lasting bitter finish. Sticky texture, full body. Overall: a little rich (as expected I suppose) -- maybe a bit much for me this morning. boFNjackson (4201) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 17, 2013
Tap @ The BeerMongers... Poured amber golden with a moderate head. Awesome citrus, pungent onion and vegetal hops. So much hoppy goodness here. Resinous and spicy with a decent amount of bitterness. And not a whole lot of sweetness too. This is killing it. daknole (11044) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - NOV 17, 2013
Orangish pour at GABF. Flavors of grapefruit peel, dank hops, sweet malts. Big beer. Sweet and hoppy at the same time. BK7 (773) - Turner, Oregon, USA - JUL 29, 2013
Growler from Growl Movement. Huge amount of pine with just a hint of sweet caramel in the background. Some citrus flavors show up as the beer warms. Long lingering harsh bitter finish with a touch of alcohol. Tasty. BMan1113VR (7931) - Los Angeles, California, USA - NOV 21, 2011
On tap at GABF. Pours with a clear yellow body and a white head. Aromas are strongly hoppy, dank, but quite pungent, onion and a bit of cat piss. Flavors are quite bitter, pungent, really strong ammonia/cat piss. Lively bubbles, dry. Just too pungent sadly, the hop presentation and malt bill were nice, but ammonia overpowered.
