En fût au Wellington Gastro Pub. Couleur brune très foncé, mousse beige. Arôme de malt et choco. En bouche, malt, un peu de chocolat noir et finale légère en houblon et malt. Bonne.

probstblueribbon (4088) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 6, 2011
Bomber from brewery via Mike (thanks!) at Mike’s, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass. 20NO11.

App.: Deep mahogany with a white vail. Aroma: Green peas, some coffee notes, a little roasted nuts, light wood notes. Palate: Medium body, sparse effervescence. Flav.: Coffee, roasted nuts, green peas/vegetal, hints of wood; dry with some bitterness and a vegetal/coffee finish.

Odd. Handles wood better than the Harvest Gold.

A nice reddish brown ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, a sweet molassey malt with light cedar chips notes. In mouth, a smooth nutty biscuitty malt, with grassy hops, with light oaken notes. Bottle from Mike, shared with Probstk, GRM, Mike and Shaun, Nov. 20 2011.

650 mL bottle from the brewery. Much better than the other two I tried. Opaque cola brown with a small but short-lived beige head. Nuts join the oak in the nose. Kinda like an oaked brown. Some chocolate joins in in the flavour, but it’s still thinner than it should be. Not bad, though.

Radek Kliber (7501) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - JUL 27, 2011
Bottle 650 ml
Aroma brown sugars , sweet , woody in character, slight nutty hints. Oak in corner.
Appearance hazed , mahogany brown with contrasting white laced top. 3+
Flavor and Palate : Light bodied. Woody with raw bitter notes, Cellar like feel. Smooth and fairly low carbonated. OK.

Sammy (13013) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 26, 2011
Better than the original, sort of. Dark with oaked and strange wooden chemical treated taste. Lace lines. Pieces of oak in a light mouthfeel. Looks like coke, tastes like something else dark.
