Pours a dark reddish copper with a thin beige head and some lacing. Aroma is sweet malts, grain, and some fruit. Flavor is rich and strong with hints of malt, berries, toast, grain, and sweet alcohol notes. Medium body with little carbonation. Very stiff, tasty brew.

Draft at Barley Johnís. Pours clear ruby tawny, with a bronze/toffee hue. Thin off-white head, spotty lacing. Nose is yeasty, with spice, red fruit, and brandy notes. Flavours of tart spicy caramel and berries, very odd mouthfeel. Not really my thing.
