Draft at BMRAF 08. Poured hazy dark amber color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy sour citrus & malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations were met with a standout brew. brentfeesh (1208) - Mansfield, Ohio, USA - DEC 27, 2007
On draft and Cask at #1. Hazy amber in the glass with a frothy head.Seems like a bright citrus (orange) aroma with plenty of sweetness. Caramel and hard candy. The fruit, caramel, malt, and hops are extremely well integrated as this warms. It’s very impressive that nothing takes the forefront the warmer it gets. Malty and citrus like orange, notes of grain, caramel, and a touch of pine in the finish. Just flavorful and well integrated. Super drinkable. Body is full, smooth and a bit sticky with a semi-dry finish

Growler: Pours a hazy deep copper amber with a well-lacing wispy white head. Aroma of sweet, lightly toasty caramel and pale malts and a good, fresh piny hop character and a touch of light fruits. Body starts slightly doughy and earthy caramely sweet with some big, fresh piny hop balance toward a fairly full, bittersweet finish. Very nicely balanced and quite drinkable. A good, hoppy strong ale. nolankowal (938) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - DEC 16, 2007
Draft. Murky orange-brown pour with an off white head. Aroma of caramel, bready malt, earthy citus hops and some light spice. Flavors of grapefruit, earthy citrus/citrus zest, a bit of booze as well. Medium/thick body, sturdy carbonation, bittersweet with a bittersweet/sticky finish.

Hazy brown color(almost the color of appe cider) with a small beige head. Aroma of citrus hops and fruit. Flavor of hops, fruit and malts. Pretty good. DrHomolka (761) - Portland, Oregon, USA - NOV 27, 2007
Draft at the alehouse. Pours muddy, hazy orange with a foamy white head. Aroma is citrusy hops with a strong accent of vanilla. Taste is slightly bitter, citrusy, with a strong vanilla component. Alcohol hidden well. Nice creamy mouthfeel. I liked this one quite a bit and found it unique and drinkable. edden (925) - cow- lumbus, Ohio, USA - NOV 18, 2007

Body is an unusual green-brown color with a brownish-cream colored head – also a bit hazy. Lace hugs glass. Flavors include Saaz hop, a touch of citrus and some tea. Finish is crisp, bitter and a bit dirt/earth like.
Had on draft at the Alehouse. Smelled sweet and malty. Pured very coudy amber. Taste was sweet apples, citrus, malts and a nice hop kicker on the finish. Very good! Dogbrick (13518) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - NOV 16, 2007
On draught at Barley’s during the 15th Anniversary party, served in a snifter. Pours a murky reddish-amber color with a medium thin and foamy off-white head that burns off slowly. Stringy lacing. Pungeant aroma of earthy malt, spices and fruit. Full-bodied with an array of flavors from juicy hops and tart fruit to sweet malt and spices. The finish is resiny hops with a lingering bitterness. Overall this is a worthy effort for an Organic Strong Ale from Barley’s.
