Bottle shared somewhere in the Black Country. Pours clear brown with a foamy topping. Sweet and bread, with a little toast. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Reasonably well balanced in the finish, some further lightly toasted malts, minimal bitterness. Decent. Lonick (2537) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 1, 2016
Bottle @cgarvieuk. April Not So Fools Tasting 2014 [Rating Backlog April 2014] Pours dark amber with a slightly off white head. Nose is spicy, toffee and caramel. Taste is herbal and slightly sweet. imdownthepub (15332) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JAN 12, 2016
Bottled, 500ml from Home Bargains, Banbury, Oxon. Brown with off white head. There is a boiled vegetable note up front with this on opening but on drinking there is a reasonable malty sweetness and a reasonable body. Some caramel hints. It’s a little dull but drinkable. maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - AUG 22, 2014
Bottled 30/07/14. A dark brown coloured beer with a white head and lace. A nutty earthy malty beer. Old fashioned brown ale. A decent bit of chocolate and woodiness. Nice enough. gegwilson (3800) - North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - AUG 1, 2014
Bottle from B&M. Chestnut ale with a fading cream head. A pretty basic malty beer. Some toast and fruitiness with just a hint of spice. Ok.
