Bottle (BB Apr/08).
Head is initially small, frothy/fizzy, off-white, mostly diminishing.
Body is medium to dark amber.
Aroma is moderately malty (toasted grain, nuts, cookie), lightly hoppy (herbs, apricot), with a light note of gum.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Rather nondescript; an ordinary amber ale. Ok. BuckeyeBoy (7680) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUN 15, 2008
12oz Bottle Pours out a hazy dark amber topped with a small off white head. Aroma of rich malt and some sweetness. Tast of thick malt and I would guess some wattle seed. A nice touch of sweet chocolate. Radek Kliber (7359) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - SEP 14, 2009
Bottle 330 ml Strykzone (7356) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - DEC 2, 2007
Appearance: amber red look with medium light creamy tanned top
Nose: brown malt based with some hop character followed by amber caramel feel. Hint of wood end others elements. 7-
Flavor/Palate : dark dry roast , ash black malt with softer sweeter back up. Toasty dry feel. Drinkable and refreshing. Hint of hickory. Good brew.
Aroma jumps out of the glass. It is rich sweet caramel malt and smell delicious. Dark fruit also abounds. Flavor is not so robust. It is of spice, vanilla, and has an underlying sweetness. Feel is thin but oily. Aroma and appearance are the highlights of this beer but it does offer some nice flavor and is one of the better spice beers I have had. Transparent copper amber color with a thin ring of off-white head. Has a lightly sweet caramely nose with a hint of milk chocolate. Body starts with decent fullness and subtle sweet toasty caramel and mild bready notes. FInishes drier, and mildly peppery with some bittersweetness. An interesting and palatable brew.

Bottled. Thx gnoff.
Amber with a small, bubbly, tan head.
Pretty sweet and cereal aroma.
Lightly furity and spicy with dry bitterness. AmEricanbrew (6878) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - AUG 22, 2008
Clear amber with a tight head. Mildly sweet honey caramel aroma. Medium body. Decent flavors are mildly sweet pale malts with an earthy bitter grain flavor from the wattle seed i presume. A good hot weather brew. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - JAN 2, 2010
Bottle:   Burnt caramel, quite translucent, no head, no lacing, this one appears as if its still.   Spicy nose, some honey, a little cereal and mash.   Blech, another average brew from Barons.   Definitely on the
malty side, minor sweetness, cereal, aformentioned honey.   Flat on the tongue, otherwise moderate body, albeit leaning towards the thin side.   Sweetness lingers, some honey, and again with the cereal.   Very mealy beers
they make.   What is Wattle Seed anyway?   Didn’t seem to make for all that interesting of a beer.   Needs some hops to balance it out.   Ugh... ekstedt (6773) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAY 12, 2008
Bottle (33 cl), thanks gnoff. Clear copper with a medium beige head. Nutty malt aroma with earthy and herbal notes. Medium bodied and smooth. A mild sweetness is followed by a dry and bitter finish. Braudog (6716) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - APR 27, 2008
Bottle. Poured a reddish brown, yet light, clear and transluscent. The aroma is almost nutty, lightly carameled. It drinks with a moderately sweet roast, and a hard-to-peg herbalness. Quaffable. (#3438, 4/27/2008)
