Has a little bit of a toffee aroma. This is quite tsty; some light carmel and toffee and a little mocha coffee as well. Very nice. An excellent finish. ComradeK (1236) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - MAY 25, 2010
330ml bottle. Pours a clear, dark amber, with minimal head. The aroma is strongly influenced by the addition of wattle seed, with hints of coffee. The initial flavour is a mixture of strong malt and a hint of bitter hops. This moves into a rich, dark flavour, dominated by wattle seed, but with notes of coffee and dark chocolate. The finish is complex, chocolate malt. A lovely example of Australian craft brewing. The addition of Australian native ingredients is inspired, and results in a delicious beer.

Pours a clear amber brown. Light on hops, slightly spicy. Unique flavor, hearty with a smooth finish. Very drinkable. I really liked this beer. Touche (57) - New York, USA - OCT 9, 2007
Really enjoyed this unique beer! Awesome twist to it with the wattle. Caramel and chocolate add great compliments slightly malty beer. Would buy again in a second. Fratto (2845) - Arlington, Texas, USA - SEP 17, 2009

UPDATED: JAN 17, 2008 Stunning dark amber in the glass, with a off white head. Aroma is a little caramel, and some english hops. Great malt character, unique (not sure if its the wattle), the chocolate malt is balanced in there well. Moderate hop bitterness, and the flavour of perhaps some fuggles.
The finish is a touch metallic and bitter. Overall, a very good beer. Hope to try some more from this brewer.
Re-rate - on tap at the royston. A different beer to what I remember, bucketloads of bush honey and heaps fuller. Unique and delicious. NYHarvey (2153) - New York, New York, USA - JUL 27, 2007
New in Tampa. The aroma is very nice with floral notes, lots of toasty malt, caramel, fruityness and hints of classic english brown ale nutty notes. The body is a bright and clear brown/amber and holds a diminshing tan head that leaves clingy lace. Big caramel and fruit in the first sip. Muted cocoa/chocolate through the middle. The finish is dry, but fruity with toasted nutty notes. This is pretty damn good. There must be a lot of great beers in Australia for this to have such a ho-hum rating.
