Bottle. Pours clear brown with a small, frothy, off-white head, lasting with spare lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, nutty), light hops (grass), average yeast (earth, leaves) with notes of apple and tea. Light bodied, thin texture, average carbonation, and a chalky finish. This wasn’t a bad beer, however there was something that stood out with me that I could not place, maybe it was the wattle seed. It was almost like a graininess, maybe an odd spiciness. It was definately unique. Otherwise, this is just an amber ale with a slight twist with the wattle. Nothing really grat here, but an interesting beer nonetheless. 11.2 oz bottle shared with rebelbeerguy purchased at Oak Tree. Starts off with a lousy looking pour with a bubbly clear orange body and a tiny bubbly head that disappeared quicker then a plate of cookies at a weight watchers meeting. Aroma was constantly changing with every few sniffs and runs the gambit from sweet and inviting to oh my god did something die in the bottle. Seriously I had hints of everything from white grapes, honey, molasses, caramek, wet hay, wet grass, chocolate, citrus and brown sugar. Flavor was just plain bad, chocolate and grain. Pours a reddish color with a quickly diminishing beige head. Smells like Killians Irish Red with sticky, artificial caramel malt. Tastes pretty much the same with a good amount of heavy syrupyness and just a general artificial or unpleasant maltiness and slight bready toastiness. Body is medium with normal to slightly prickly carbonation. I didn’t care for the overly fake caramel syrup like malt character of this beer, and I get no unique flavors that I might want to attribute to whatever a "wattle seed" is.

Pours a kind of sad looking watery brown with an off white head and a bit of carbonation. Smell is a little nutty with some decent malt characteristics. I must not like wattle seeds though because the flavor started as interesting and then quickly degraded into undrinkable as the beer warmed. This was a sink pour unfortunately.
